Question about SanDisk Sansa Clip MP3 Player

1 Answer

My sansa disk is always showing that it is charging even when it isn't. I plugged it into the computer and when I pulled it out it continues to show that it is charging and I can't do anything else with it (turn it on/off or anything)

Before I formatted my computers hard drive with windows xp my sansa clip was recognized. After the format I get the "Device unrecognized" pop up on the bottom right of my screen. I also looked at...

-Turn it OFF
-Put it in the HOLD position
-HOLD the center button IN while plugging into USB port, continue to hold for 5 to 7 sec even after plugged in.
At this point MY COMPUTER recognized it. And it worked.

He also had me to:

- go to WWW.MICROSOFT.COM
- In the upper right hand search bar, type in MTP PORTING KIT
I did this and downloaded the first one. Now my Sansa Clip work perfect. I wish I would have talked to him last week before I returned the last one, for the same reasons.

Hope this helps

Positive Feedback ALWAYS welcome :)

I shut down the computer while charging my mp3

Try plugging in the USB connection again. If that doesn't work, unplug it and then press and hold the on button for ten seconds.

Sansa MP3 player not working

you should try to reset it...take the sansa mp3 player and take the 4 screws out of the back and then remove the metal casing...then take the battery out....leave the battery out and press the power button....after you do that put the case back on and plug it into your computer if that dont work i would take the back off and then the face plate off and clean all the internal compnets....soon i will have a video showing how to do that on youtube....check frequently... www.youtube.com/stonedfly2 i will have it up this weekend

Plugging in and out Sansa

Well I'd suggest that you uninstall it from your computer then reinstall it. This is a common solution to most problems similar to this.

Sansa keeps shutting off/ wont read memory disk

The issue you have described with your portable device in most cases can be resolved by formatting your device. Please follow these steps even if you have already attempted them once before.

Please note that this will remove all music from your device.

Formatting the device in Windows Media Player

1. Open Windows Media Player with your MP3 player connected to the computer

2. At the top of windows Media Player select the Sync tab at the top

3. The MP3 player should be recognized on the right hand side and say "Your Player Name"

4. Above the player name is a button that says "Format Storage Media" click this button to erase all the data from the player

5. Continue with the acknowledgement of erasing all data on disk.
