The LG TV was damaged by lightning and I had to replace the flash (memory IC). Now the TV has no software. How do I fix it?

There are millions upon millions of electronics that could have been fried.  If you wanted to try and frankenstein with other broken receivers from ebay you might be able to fix it.   Also check to make sure there aren't any fuses and I recommend a surge protector.

Only someone who can look at it and see what was damaged can tell us that. Lighning is so unpredictable it is impossible to tell what got damaged and what is good without seeing it and touching it and testing it. There is always hope in these cases but to be on the safe side you might want to call the insurance adjuster. My personal guess is that it probably fried at the very least the power supply and could have traveled around in side the boards and ruined them all. But like I said it could be a very slight hit and only a small pico fuse on the power supply could have gone bad, so call the insurance folks and see if they are willing to pay for a repair estimate or will they replace the set.

check the screen voltage g2 is approx 300vdc to 360vdc,over supply voltage on g2 (screen voltage can cause power to shut down automatically.

Ask and see but I would not mention the lightening---if its 3 months old the LG warranty should cover the repair or replacement.

They will not know at all it was lightening unless you tell them.

"This thing just stopped working" they will either get it fixed or get you a replacement set.
