Metering blade is gunked up. You need to dissasemble part of the imaging unit to fix the problem. Clean it. put it back together and BINGO! Like new

If the Black cartridge gear is not operating you need to get a replacement from the Cartridge supplier.

Else if the black print is not proper then you have to replace the Black developer from imaging unit. followed by firmware update.

  1. Remove the print cartridges, and close the cartridge carrier lids.

  2. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.

  3. Reconnect the power cord to the electrical outlet.

  4. If the button_power_0.jpg button is not lit, press button_power_0.jpg.

  5. Reinsert the print cartridges.

If the error does not reappear, the problem has been corrected.

If the problem reappears, one of the cartridges is not working properly. Continue with the following procedure to determine which cartridge is not working properly.

  1. Remove the print cartridges, and close the cartridge carrier lids.

  2. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.

  3. Reconnect the power cord to the electrical outlet.

"LEFT CARTRIDGE INCORRECT" everything was ok


Re-seat the black cartridge and make sure it's properly inserted. If error continues, try to insert a different known working black cartridge to determine if the other is faulty.

The Lexmark Z645 will only print blue, yellow and black


Hello. The nozzles of the color cartridge may need cleaning since it's doing the same thing on two different printers. Here's an article in the Lexmark website on how to properly clean the nozzles of the cartridge. Just click on this link: http://bit.ly/9wzuAL . If it still won't work, try your old color cartridge if you still have it and still working. If it works properly with the old cartridge, maybe you got a defective new cartridge. Hope this helps. When i print it is mostly red even when it should be black. does that mean that my black cartridge is empty? or not working properly


There may be both the possibilities, ie; Either the Cartridge is Empty or its not working properly.
To check your Ink Level read this
If the level is ok, then your Cartridge may be faulty, you have to get a new one.

My canon pixma mp150 is showing error 5?


E5 is saying that ink is not installed, generic cartridges, or not installed properly, If all those are good you could have a defective carriage assembly and need shop work.

HP 1315 printing real slow


If there are a compatiable black cartridge
replace this cartridge with your old empty cartridge and print a test page (don't mind about printing of black )
If speed is correct,
then replace the black cartridge with another new cartridge.
(some time compatiable black cartridge not work properly to flow ink)

It needs ink in both the color and the black in order to work properly. It is just something HP does to make sure that the printer will work properly.

to complete the alignment it needs to detect the lines printed from both the black and colour cartridges.maybe ur black cartridge is printing the necessary pattern but the colour is not printing so when it tries to read the colour paattern ,it cant read and cancels the alignment and ejects the paper out..it will keep on doing this if it cannot read the both colour and black patterns.see to it that both ur cartridges are printing and working properly.

u check ur head is working properly i think this main error of head where u insert balck vartrige if u have same printer then u have check replace the black cartrige find out it work properly then sure ur balck head is damage
