Where are the belts located on the SEBO X4? I just replaced the brush roller and the red Check Brush light STILL remains on steadily and it doesn't seem to be picking up/no suction.

SOURCE: I have a Sebo X4

There could be a few reasons:
Check that the main filters are completely clean - open the door to see if there is any dirt on the main slide out roll filter and also the main exhaust filter on top of the hood of the X4 (by pushing the handle all the way down to the floor as if the X4 is flat floor cleaning) The exhaust filter has to be replaced if its completely black in colour and can't be washed.
Failing that, check the main inspection blockage door on the underside of the floor head. Inspect it with a torch - even though it may feel like there is nothing there by putting your fingers into the trapdoor, debris like stiff cardboard can often block the main dust channel entrance from the brush to the main hose. Also take off the hose and extend it fully to see if anything is clogged.

SOURCE: Sebo X4 Extra brush light remains on despite

Sorry you've had to wait so long for a reply. Perhaps you no longer need help, but here goes anyway. Must confess I'm not certain about this, but my guess is that the automatic height adjust mechanism (let's call it the HAM for convenience) isn't working properly. The HAM works by sensing the drag of the brush roll against the carpet, and raising or lowering the front of the machine as necessary to maintain constant drag. So first you need to check the HAM, as follows: with the handle in the locked upright position, switch on and wait for a few seconds (there may or may not be any signal from the green UP or DOWN lights). Then, still switched on, lower the handle to the normal operating position and check that the green DOWN light comes on. Wait until the DOWN light goes off and then return the handle to fully upright (switched on all the time). When fully upright the UP light should come on for a few seconds and you may be able to see the handle tilt backwards as the front of the machine rises. If this is all working properly, we need to look elsewhere for a solution. The next thing I would look for is for a broken belt. Just turn the machine over while it's running and look to see that the brush is rotating (keeping fingers and clothing well clear, of course). Sebo belts usually last 15 years or more, but breakages are not unknown.
I realise this may not exactly solve your problem, but it should give you something to work on. If you need more help, post a reply here, saying what you've found so far, and I'll try to be more specific.
Good luck!

My Sebo X4 make a loud whining noise, i have checked for clogging in most places , the bag is not full, i have checked around the brush roller. What do you suggest?

Stripped belt ! Take it to your local Sebo dealer for replacement. Do not open it up yourself !!!! Sebo X4s have a lifetime warranty on the belt but if you open it up, you void the warranty.

My 1 Year Old Sebo X4 was lowering itself to hardwood floor with no air gap. Sebo Support agreed with my repair shop that a new (blue) brush roller would fix the problem by replacing the 'worn" brush (same...

No not quite. For a start, the stiff bristles on the blue roller can last a few years before requiring to be replaced.

The SEBO sensor wheel adjusts to the height required - unless of course the microchip board has been tampered with. If it hasn't been tampered with. If the central wheel is excessively dirty then it could be that the SEBO isn't lowering the height properly. However, the X series is great at cleaning hard floors in general - i it is not designed for the brush roll to fully hit the floor, thus as you suggest crushing the bristles. It is designed, as you recognise quite correctly to skid across a hard floor lightly as there is a squeegee rubber strip built in at the back of the roller bar that scoops all dirt into the central vacuum path. The front plate also lends this job. You are not being conned - however check that the rubber squeegee strip has not worn away - SEBO do sell the strips and they are easy to slide into via the press release door at the side of the brush roll.

If the SEBO has died then its a possibility that there is a microchip function that gone wrong it. Some more information would be good to know here as it could be a number of things such as the cord cables coming away at the handle.

Hi we seem to have a problem with our Sebo .When in use as you draw the hoover back and forth seems to become very heavy to push as if the suction is becoming stronger. PLease can you advise. Mary

As you know, your Sebo automatically adjusts its brush height according to the type of floor it's on. At the correct brush height, on carpet, the machine should almost pull itself forwards. If this is not happening, the first thing to check is to look and see if the bristles on the brush roller are very worn (bristles on a new roller will almost entirely fill the available space). If they are worn, a new roller will almost certainly solve the problem. If the problem persists, the automatic height control mechanism may have failed (possible but very unusual) and a professional repair will be necessary. You may notice that I haven't even mentioned the possibility that one of the belts may have broken (in which case the brush roller will not be rotating at all) - because of the machine's excellent design, broken belts are almost unknown (they can last for 15 years and more) but not completely impossible.
My message in a nutshell: look to the brush roller first. If a new one doesn't solve the problem, go to a professional repairer.
I value your feedback, so please remember to rate my response.  Thanks!
