SOURCE: Cabrio washer is giving an F 51 Code
The "F51" error code is common problem with the Cabrio. This is an RPS sensor error. The sensor is mounted along the motor windings under the washer and detects the rotation spin speed. The sensors on these units can go bad, causing the error code, and it has been a frequent problem. I would recommend you contact Whirlpool first (due to the unit only being a year old) and see if there is a recall or upgrade on this part. I believe there is. The repair would then be covered by the manufacturer. If I give you the steps to access and/or replace the sensor at this point, you may be voiding any existing warranty you may still have. Some components carry a longer warranty than your normal one year limited warranty from the manufacturer. Something you may consider.
If you have further questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you in some way.

SOURCE: whirlpool cabrio washer keeps flashing code F50
The F50 error code indicates that the RPS (rotor position sensor) detects no motor rotation. Check to see if the basket spins freely. If not, you could have an item caught between the outer tub and the inner spin basket. A toy or other item underneath the washer could also prevent the basket from spinning and would result in this F50 code.
If the basket spins freely, you could have a wiring failure that would prevent the motor from spinning.

SOURCE: F1_Code on a whirlpool washer
washers have had several common repair issues since day one. If your
Cabrio or Oasis washing machine has the dread error code F1, you can
fix it. The F1 error code on you're washing machine means the mother
board is bad. The repair is simple and straight forward if you are the
adventurous type.
The washers control panel needs to be removed to gain access to the
mother board. The three screws on the back side hold the washers
control panel to the cabinet. The screws are 1/4 size and a nut driver
works best to remove them.
The washers main control board is held down with one small screw in
the front. Removing the screw and lifting the board up is all that
needs to be done to remove the control. The wire connections are all
plug and play. The washers pressure switch hose also plugs into the
main board. The pressure hose also simply lifts up and off the control
board. Need more help? Post your question below i would be
happy to assist.
