i have a dane-elec 8gb i can read and copy from it but i cannot delete or format it. its always telling me disk is write protected and so far no one has given us any solution till now please explain

I have the same problem with my Sansa m250. I decided to take off the old songs I had on it, and put new ones on, but it won't let me. It keeps prompting me that the files are write-protected, but when I go to the property area, it is not highlighted. Where/How can I fix this??

my usb has been working properly since november 8, 2007. this morning (10th april, 2008) i inserted it and used a document and when i tried to save it again it said "word cannot save or create this file. make sure that the disk you want to save the file on is not full, write-protected or damaged.
help please! i'm desperate!

just bought one and inserted it into usb port and it says write protected remove write protection or use another device. How do you remove write protection? If cant remove can i get a refund?
