Question about Acer Computers & Internet
My acer 5601 screen is black or blurry on half the screen. The other half, I can see perfectly. When I plug into external monitor it shows the whole screen. I have tried shining a light, and see nothing new. I can push in on the sides of the screen and sometimes I can see more of the monitor but it then goes back to half dead screen. I am very new to this and very computer unsavvy. Do I need to buy a new screen or new computer?
If you've connected an external monitor to your computer and the image is coming up fine then that means your video card on the motherboard is good.
The only other parts it could be is the LCD Flex cable that connects to the LCD screen to the motherboard, the LCD Inverter that powers the LCD screen or the LCD screen itself. Usually you can find a used screen that is complete with all those components on ebay.
