There are three main possible causes of this problem.
You're right about the copyright. It can cause the finalization to hang.
Another possibility could simply be that your burning software is not finalizing properly. You can also try another one like ImgBurn here for free and see if it works with that. If it does, it was the software! You can also then keep ImgBurn as it is totally free to keep!
The third possibility is the the writeable DVD itself. You can try a different brand as various brands have a huge popularity of either working with one type of burn, and not another type. It could simply be the brand of DVD, and another one might just help!
