Normally the only way is to reduce the ham in size, cut in to two or three chunks. If it's in plastic not yo worry, wrap each chunk in cling film several times and boil as normal. Don't allow the water to dry out top up regular with hot boiled water. I know it's a late answer but it really works well.

Ham hocks. Are ham hocks precooked? I am thinking they are just smoked.

You can smoke ham hocks on a smoker for a moist and flavorful option, roast them in the oven until crispy and browned, or boil them on the stove.

Is it absolutely necessary to heat a sliced fully cooked boneless ham

No, Usually will say ready to eat also. Of course not all hams are fully cooked these days. The ham is often even better not heated at they usually get overheated and lose some of there juices.

hi Verene.
If you have leftovers, you can easily store ham in the refrigerator for up to a week. However, if you have a lot, or even a whole cooked or smoked ham left untouched, youcan keep it in the freezer for longer storage. ... 2 Place your sliced or cut-up ham into airtight freezer bags.

How do you cook a hickory smoked ham shank portion that is fully cooked already?

I place ham in a large roasting pan or large rectangular pan using a rack under the ham. Set oven to 325 and cook 15-18 minutes per pound. I make a glaze. I glaze half way through cooking time and then a second time 15 minutes prior to removing from oven.

What temp and how long to cook a 10 lb ham in a turkey frier?

12-17 minutes per pound at 375 is recommended for an oven. I'm not sure of the difference between the frier and oven. Most prepared hams are fully cooked or smoked. Here's a link to check other info on cooking hams.

How long do you cook a turkey and ham?

It is best to use a digital thermometer in the breast of the turkey and bring it to 175. Time depends on size but I find all poultry cooks faster than beef or pork.

I would not recommend smoking a ham unless it is an uncooked ham. Google "smoking a ham".

I hope this helps.
