Yes the screen can be replaced but is very expensive. There is also a service bulletin on this chassis for replacing an overheat sensor behind the lamp assembly. The overheat message will appear on the screen.

Hi my samsung tv model la40d550 has a horizontal line through lower 3rd of screen, what is the cause of this and how can i fix it?

This appears to be what is referred to as delamination, and the only way to fix it is replace the panel, which would probably cost more than a new TV. Sorry. Unless it's still under warranty...

could be delamination of the screen. Is this still visible when the set is off?(sometimes you have to look hard for this)
Also check all cabling to the panel. most likely problem is panel or cabling. If panel, replace TV as Panel is not cost effective.

Bottom half of screen cloudy

Sounds like the GOOD news is that it has to be the display anti-glare shield, and not the display itself. [You may even be able to look "down" on the display and see clear characters that are hidden behind the lower cloudy shield. The two likely candidates are: a) the shield surface, or b) delamination of the shield.

You have probably already tried this, but first try cleaning it with a soft cloth dampened with a little dish soap. Rub gently. [Did anyone get near this display with window glass cleaner perhaps?]

The surface can be cleared (if that's where the problem is) with some non-glass optical rubbing compound. I like something called Micro-Gloss. For an area this small, you can just use your finger tip and rub the white liquid around (and around and around...). It will hurt the "anti-glare" quality - but that's better than not being able to read the information at all.

One concern... since the problem is only on the lower half, *if* the plane has been parked for years in the hot sun, it may be actual breakdown or delamination of the plastic. [Try pressing gently on the cloudy surface and see if it makes any difference at all, right where you are pressing.] If that is the case, then your pretty much stuck needing a new plastic faceplate over the display. That *should* be a 50 cent part, but it's connected to an airplane, so...

I have three black circles, and some color streaking at he bottom inch of my RCA, LCD tv

that is usually caused by cleaning the screen with windex the windex runs down the screen bewteen the screen and plastic frame and actually seeps inside between the screen layers. Eventually it may go away by itself if the circles are not too bad but in most cases the damage is permanent. It can also be an issue called screen delamination which there is no fix for.

this is a common problem with this model the screen is delaminating the transistor connections on the bottom side a temporary fix is to press along the bottom of the screen when this happens, but eventually you will need to replace the screen about 100-150 dollar fix.

I have HP Laptop 6XX i am facing display problem, display coming with some extra linings and spreading spot of the dame.

Sounds like from your description that your lcd screen is starting to delaminate. There is no fix for this and eventually it will fail to produce a readable picture. Replacement of the screen is the only option with this type of failure.

Vertical red lines on screen

LCD correct?

There are 2 types of lines they may be showing, both requiring the replacement of the LCD Panel.

1. Delamination Lines- they are usually multiple vertical lines that do NOT flow from the top to bottom of the screen. Looks look water dripped down or something similar

2. Single/Multiple Vertical lines - This is normally 1 or maybe a few solid vertical lines that travel from Top to bottom. I belive in some cases they may only travel to the screen center.

In both cases, this will always show when the TV is ON. Even if there is no signal being input to the TV. There are other possibilities but these can be the most common. Both require a new panel.
