Flow plug

even though the ignitor seems to glow bright orange,it still maybe weak,as in not enough current to open the gas valve,an easy test is to just swap out or interchange the broiler ignitor and bake ignitors and see if this takes care of your issue on the lower bake side as most units use the identical ignitor for each upper and lower manifolds and the gas valve supplies both the bake and broiler manifolds depending on which you choose to use bake or broil

Whirlpool SF365BEPW2. The bake section of the oven stopped working. TheIgnitor works but no gas is comming out to ignite. The Broil section of the oven works fine. Do you think the problem is withe the...

Hello,

The problem with your oven not igniting is that the BAKE ignitor is weak and drawing the required amprage (3.3-3.6) to allow the gas valve to open. I know to the layman it does not seem that the ignitor could be the problem since it comes on, but as appliance technician with 30 years experience i am 100% confident that the problem is indeed the ignitor being weak, since it does come on that eliminates all others possibilities because if any other part were defective the ignitor would not even come on
The part number for the ignitor is 786324 it can be purchased online by simply googling the part number then click the shopping tab on the google search

Our GE profile oven model JGsp31wet1ww oven will not heat up. When i set the oven to say 400 degrees, it just stays at 100 and never heats up. The broiler seems to work fine and the stove top gas burners...

pull out the racks and remove the bottom floor of the oven, turn it on bake,if the ignitor doesn't glow most likely it's bad,if it does glow and it doesn't ignite within 40 to 60 seconds the ignitor is bad.even though it glows doesn't mean it's good,it works by amps.it takes 3.2 amps.for a flat ignitor to open the gas valve and 2.5 amps for a round ignitor to open the gas valve.

My rinnai820/30 gas heater is lighting but in only the chamber second from the right if you are looking at it .also there is a smell of gas which is logical as the other ones are not burning it also has a...

Logical, but not good. Check the ignitors obn the other two. Unless they are close to each other they need thier own ignitors. Be extremely careful when one is lit and the other two a pouring out gas. If they ignite there could be a serious problem if you have the combustion chamber open. The ignitors may only be out of adjustment.
