Dcamp77262, you mention that the new lamp worked for 45 minutes and then the dark spot appeared, was this the same with the previous lamp and was the previous lamp the original that came with the projection unit? If you're using a replacement lamp(not original equipp) won't be the first time that they send a lamp that does not match the ome lamp, it also could be (very possible) that you're going to need light engine replacement or repaired.

Re-seat the black cartridge and make sure it's properly inserted. If error continues, try to insert a different known working black cartridge to determine if the other is faulty.

I have the same problem. I replaced the lamp and starter with new . But after I press the button reset the mesage replace the lamp continue to show it and the blue light is missing (INSIDE THE BOX)with any...

It may be that the bulb and starter are not inserted correctly. The message indicates that something is not making contact. Make sure they are seated properly and firmly. They need to be twisted, like installing a fluorescent light bulb.

If the bulb begins functioning, but you are still seeing the message, push the reset button, then turn the machine off for a minute or two. If everything is installed correctly, the light should work, and the message should be removed.

How do i install headlight bulb

To replaced a headlight bulb you have to remove the headlight assembly. You have to open the hood and remove the large black plastic shield first. This is done by pulling out the round center pieces of the hold down clips. Then removing the remaining pieces of the clips. (there are two different size clips...remember where they went and keep the parts separate so you won't get confused). Then remove the two locks located on the top of the headlight containing the burnt bulb. These locks may be a little hard to pull out. When these locks are removed, the light assembly should slide out with a little wiggling. Of course be careful to not drop the assembly. Remove the faulty bulb using a counterclockwise twist. Be careful...the bulb may be hot if you have had the bulb in use. Then unplug the bulb and lay it aside. Be careful not to touch the glass of the new bulb while you are installing it. If you do , clean it with alcohol and a tissue. Install the new bulb into the light assembly(slowly turn it until it falls into place, then a clockwise twist will lock it in). Only plug in the new bulb after you have reinstalled it. It is easier to handle the new bulb without the wiring attached. After you have installed the new bulb...then just reverse the procedure. Before reassembling sure to check that the bulb is working. After you have checked the new bulb then reinstall the light assembly, then the locks..then the black plastic panel(remember that the plastic panel needs to slide into the fenders on both sides for proper fit)...then install the clips. Close the hood and're done. Of course, like any job, if you are unsure you should let a pro repair it. Good luck...

How do I change the back turn signal on my 2001 ford taurus

DIY - 5 Minute Turn Signal Bulb Replacement This is very simple to do. First you will need an 8mm socket and wrench to loosen one bolt. Second a good long flat head screwdriver. There are two black metal folded tabs behind the headlight assembly and one 8mm bolt holding it in plae at the center point of the front of the car. Loosen the bolt and remove. Use the screw driver to pull up the metal straps and then slide forward the entire assembly. This will slide easily unless your front bumper has been bumped! That will make it a little difficult to slide if it is out of alignment. If it was never bumped than this should take all of 5 minutes.

Replacing front parking lamp/turn signal/cornering lamp bulbs
  1. Remove headlight / lens assembly per below steps mentioned later

  2. Rotate the bulb socket of the offending bulb counterclockwise and remove from the lamp assembly.

  3. Carefully pull bulb straight out of the socket and push in the new bulb

  4. Install the bulb socket into the headlight assembly by rotating it clockwise

  5. Re-install headlight assembly - hold snugly into place until the brackets line up and retainer pins can be pushed down

To replace headlight bulb:
  1. Make sure headlight switch is turned OFF.

  2. Remove the bolt at the end of the headlamp housing.

  3. Pull the two black tabs with the L shaped bracket toward the back and then up and pull out(Located at the back of the headlamp) to release the headlamp assembly from the vehicle and pull headlamp assembly forward.

  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the bulb by pulling it.

  5. Remove the bulb socket retaining ring by rotating it counterclockwise.

  6. Remove the bulb from the lamp assembly by pulling straight back.
Do not twist, as there are alignment slots built into the lamp assembly socket.
It may take some effort to remove the lamp because it has a rubber o-ring type seal - try a bit of wiggling side-to-side

  7. Insert new bulb into headlight assembly - don't touch the glass - use gloves, paper towel, or similar
Make sure that the flat surface of the bulb socket is facing upward, and is firmly seated

  8. Re-attach retainer ring by rotating clockwise

  9. Reconnect the electrical harness

  10. Re-install headlight assembly - hold snugly into place until the brackets line up and retainer pins can be pushed down

  • Do not touch the glass of the new halogen bulb - the oils in the skin will shorten the life-span of the new bulb, or possibly cause the bulb to explode when first turned on

If the bulb is accidentally touched, it should be cleaned with rubbing alcohol before being used.

How do you change headlight bulb on 03 Eclipse

First, make sure that the headlights and engine are off. Hot engine and hot bulb make changing it challenging. Reach behind the headlamp assembly and remove the electrical connector by pulling it straight out, towards that back of the car. Next, remove the large rubber seal that is on the back of the headlight assembly by pulling it off like the electrical connector. The electrical connector was in the center of the seal. There is a metal bar spring that goes across the back of the bulb assembly. It opens like a safety pin. Gently push down on the end of the metal spring. Once it is pushed down it will be out of its clasp and it will open automatically due to spring tension. The bar spring can be opened completely and then the bulb will come straight out the back of the headlamp assembly. To replace the bulb, first, make sure you don't touch the glass on the bulb since it may cause a hot spot and reduce the life of the bulb. There are 3 metal tabs that are on the bulb for the electrical connector. Position the bulb so that the "missing tab" is on the bottom. Put the bulb into position by aligning the 3 metal fingers on the outside of the bulb assembly into the openings on the back of the headlamp. They should seat fully. Once the bulb is in place you can close the bar spring by gently pushing down on the open end of the spring so that it engages the clasp. The spring will hold the bulb in place and you can verify seating by gently trying to move the bulb or by gently pushing and pulling the bulb. If it is seated then you can put the large rubber seal back on the back of the headlamp. Lastly you can pusht the electrical connector back onto the 3 prongs of the bulb. Don't push too hard and you might want to consider using some bulb grease to make it go on easier and to protect from corrosion. I changed both headlamps in about 3 - 5 minutes.

Are instructions available to repair headlights on a 2000 Ford Taurus SE. How to disassemble / reassemble etc? Thanks

The bulbs are inserts held in place by a large black ring on the rear of the headlight assembly. Don't touch the glass on the new bulbs as finger oils will cause them to fail.

You will need to check the contacts where the bulb inserts for arcing, causing a short. Test for power and ground at the conn. 2 b sure you have power there. If this is the case you will need to replace the light assembly.

This is an ATC323H Chassis. The DM module could be the problem. Here is a factory Troubleshooting guide to confirm the correct operation of all of the Light Engine circuits. Be careful on this one because there is 20,000 volts present to fire the Lamp. You should call a good TV Tech in my opinion.

Replacing headlights on a 1988 760

Replaceable Bulb 1985–89 200 SERIES AND 1987–89 700 SERIES
  1. Make sure the headlights are off and the ignition is OFF.
  2. Working from under the hood, release the clip and remove the wire connector from the back of the lamp assembly.
  3. Unscrew and remove the large locking ring on the back of the headlamp.
  4. Remove the bulb and its holder; replace them as a unit WARNING
When installing new bulbs, never touch the glass bulb with your fingers. The grease will develop a hot spot on the bulb and radically shorten its life.
  5. When reinstalling, make sure that the bulb sits properly in the reflector assembly. Tighten the locking ring and reattach the wiring connector.
