Question about Sanyo MM-7400

Open Question

Caller cannot hear me, and I can barely hear caller

All of a sudden, the sound on my Sanyo MM-7400 went pbbt. It's very faint and tinny. In addition, my callers cannot hear me at all. What could have happened?

How to turn volume up for callers sound

You're going to do this during a call.

During the call,
  • You will press the "cid (up arrow)" or "pbk (down arrow)" buttons to display the current volume.
  • Then pressing either or those buttons again would bring the volume up or down of the caller/earpiece.
If you don't hear any difference, then the problem is most likely on the caller's end.

Because of the design of these headsets, over time the wire leading to the mic can wiggle and break loose, which allows you to hear fine, but prevents the listener from hearing you. My bet is that it's the red wire, as it tends to have more pressure placed on it. The dismantle process isn't easy (i'm working on the very same problem at the moment!) but if you'd like to try it and are able to do very fine resoldering I can share my notes with you. Otherwise, you're out of luck and will need to purchase a new headset. Sorry I can't give you better news!

Cant hear caller

You may need to go to the menu, settings and push up for volumes in all the choices the phone gives you.
