Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W1 Digital Camera
I let someone borrow my camera and it's been taking movies instead of photos ever since I got it back. The only way it will take a pic is if it's in twilight mode. In any other setting when I push the button to take a pic recording pops up in red on the screen. I have tried to remove the batt and tried a different memory card same thing. I do not see anywhere in the menu to change this mode. I thank you in advance for any advice I can get.
When you rotate the mode dial, does camera change the mode? Maybe it switches only between video and twilight modes and when you set the dial to, for example, Auto mode, it's actually in Video mode? I have seen problems like this before with these cameras, mode dial had to be changed. If so, you should contact your local Sony service center and ask the price. If they ask too much, you can contact me at email@example.com and I can give you a better price.
Hope this helps!
