If the eject button is not working it is possible the DVD is stuck in the unit. look closely at the door on the DVD tray you should see a small hole that you can stick a paper clip in once you straighten it out, and then push it in the small hole, that should offer a little resistance then the DVD should eject. Be sure to unplug the DVD Player before trying this.

Cd drive wont eject

Try ejecting it through "My Computer". Right click on the drive and select "eject". If you can't locate the drive, then it's probably missing the driver.

PowerMac G5 doesn't eject

Your DVD wont show on the desktop unless a DVD is inserted. Which means that the DVD is either upside down, or simply isn't recognized by the reader. There should be an eject button on your keyboard. Hold that for 3 to 5 seconds and see if it ejects. If not, look for a tiny hole in the front of your case and insert a paper clip and push in until the DVD ejects. Some Macs have no hole and require a shop to extract the DVD for you. Another trick is to start up the PC while holding down the C key during bootup, which will make the PC try to boot off of the DVD. At which point the DVD should eject as the system asks for a proper boot cd.

Eject lock

Get a paper clip and unbend it so you have a straight wire. Then look closely at the dvd tray and next to the eject button you will see a tiny hole. Push the paperclip wire into the hole and manually release the dvd tray.

Disc Tray Will Not Eject

Just next to the eject button on the actual recorder there should be a tiny pinhole.  If you use a small paperclip and insert it, then push, you should be able to manually eject the DVD.  Hope this helps!
