Esiple,
Try unplugging the voltage divider first and power the unit.. If it comes up with audio you need to replace the divider, about a $60.00 dollar part.

How do you access the convergence calibration menu on a RCA P52926 Rear Projection TV

Hello
To access the convergence calibration:

Press the MENU button on the remote.

2. Press 3 to select the Screen option.

3. Press 4 to select the Adjust Projection TV option.

4. Press 4 to select the Advanced Convergence option (the
Advanced Convergence screen appears).

The green pattern is fixed. The red and blue patterns are adjusted to

the green pattern. The Red Convergence appears first by default.

5. Colored cross-hairs show the current adjustment position on the

grid. To move the cross-hairs to a different position, use the

CH+/- buttons on the remote to move the cross-hair highlight up

and down, and the VOL+/- buttons to move it right and left.

6. Use the arrow buttons to adjust the red pattern. Each press of

the arrow button makes a slight adjustment from the center of

the cross-hairs - you can press and hold the desired arrow

button to make a faster adjustment, and then make fine

adjustments with single presses of the arrow button.

7. Press the INFO button to switch to Blue convergence and follow

the steps above to adjust the blue pattern.

8. Press OK to exit. You will be asked if you want to save the
adjustments

Yes Saves adjustments.

No Returns to the Advanced Convergence screen allowing

further adjustments.
Clear Exits screen without making any changes

Note: Before you use the advanced convergence feature, you must
complete the previous steps to align the tubes

I cannot adjust Convergence with my remote control.

If adjustment has reached its limit by the user control, then the problem is associatd with a damaged convergence board/s. This is not a recommended DIY operation as it requires motre than just replacement of the boards that control this. The convergence died because of other problems on possibly the power board and would need proper testing equipment and realignment using a hatch pattern generator. Parts $3-400.00 + labour

JVC HD-52Z575 red screen

The solution is an easy fix. Ignore anyone telling you to take it to a service center or to replace the convergence driver. You need to access the service menu on your television by using your remote control:

DRIVE CONVERGENCE Adjustment (Using remote control)

•Use the inner RGB box pattern.

(1)Set the [SLEEP TIMER] key to 0 min.

(2)Press the [DISPLAY] key and the [VIDEO STATUS]key simultaneously.

(3)Press the [9] key to display the RGB box pattern.

(4)Select the R mode by pressing the [DISPLAY] key.

(5)Adjust the R mode to setting as same as G mode bypressing the [CH ]+ / [CH -] key.

(6)Select the B mode pressing by the [DISPLAY] key.

(7)Adjust the B mode to setting as same as G mode bypressing the [VOL] - / [VOL +] key.

(8)Check to see that the cross pattern is white. If thecross pattern is not white, readjust (5) to (6).

That's it, your color is now corrected. Yes, I know...your welcome.

Words have shadows and yellow is also blue ex football game yardage lines are yellow and then there is a blue line words are not sharp

Not familiar with this particular model but it should have a convergence menu. If so, try using the convergence menu (which is basically a cross pattern (possibly multiple ones) that you use as a reference to align your colors and make the cross pattern white. When you go to this menu and see the cross patterns, if you see the shadowing of the colors, you will know what I'm talking about. If this adjustment(s) don't work, you may have a problem in your convergence board circuitry. Wish I could be of more help but try the menu.....I've fixed 2 or 3 sets like this now. Good luck!

Convergence overlay is shifted to the left how do I move it to the right?

For major overall changes in the position of a particular color. On each crt yoke there are some rings with adjustment tabs (usually 2 per tube) located right at the back of the yoke. When you rotate these while looking at a crosshatch pattern on the screen. (you may need a mirror to do this) you will realize which way and how much to adjust them to bring the convergence in closer.
FYI do not adjust the green ever! Green is usually the reference for convergence positioning.

Convergence problem

A lens adjustment would help focus for each color only. If the convergence is coming and going, either one or more of the convergence ICs is starting to fail, or there are bad connections that are being effected by heat. Try to see if there is a pattern to when the changes occur. Do they occur more frequently after the set has been on for a while?

Keep us posted. If you can solder, you should be able to resolve this yourself regardless of the cause. If you wish to attempt the repair, please update this and I'll provide more details and instructions. Please try to find a pattern first as that will help to determine the proper resolution.

Thanks,
Dan

Convergence problem

This is out of the service manual

don't forget to write the setting to rom by hitting the pip button twice

Good luck and don't hesitate to ask questions

2.12.5 Convergence point adjustment
Adjustment preparation
(1) Select color to adjust.
“STATUS” - Green
“0” - Red
“ANT” - Blue
(2) Use 4, 6, 2, and 5 to move the cursor position
(dotted lines).
(3) Use thumb stick to move the convergence point.
(4) Three adjustment modes are available:
1. (3x3) Press “STATUS” 5 times (only works
when DCU is in uncorrected state)
2. (7x5) Press “0” 5 times
3. (13x9) Press “ANT” 5 times
For touch-up, only the (13x9) mode is necessary.
This will adjust every cross-hatch intersection point
on the screen.
For complete adjustment, start with (3x3) mode. This
will adjust center point and eight edge points only,
but will greatly reduce adjustment time. Then use
(7x5) mode, and finally (13x9) mode to finish
convergence.
If “S” distortion appears between cross-hatch lines
repeat (7x5) mode to change calculation process
while adjusting to remove distortion, then return to
(13x9) mode to finish touch-up convergence.
Adjustment procedure
(1) Receive any NTSC signal.
(2) Start adjustment at the center of the screen.
(3) Continue adjustment at next closest position.
(4) Adjust center area first, ending with edge sections.
(5) Press INFO button to perform calculation operation.
This process will take about 2 seconds and no
picture will be seen at this time.
(6) After interpolation, check convergence again and
repeat (1)-(5) if necessary.
(7) When convergence is acceptable, press PIP MODE
to write data to ROM memory. ROM WRITE? is
displayed to alarm system that ROM will be
overwritten with new data. Press the PIP MODE
button again to write displayed data to ROM.
(8) DATA WRITE TO ROM will take approximately 4
seconds and no picture will be displayed.
(9) Green dots will be displayed when operation is
completed.
(10) Press MUTE to return to convergence pattern, then
confirm again convergence is acceptable.
(11) Press PIP MODE (ROM WRITE) mode, then press
PIP CH to initialize sensor data positions.
Adjustment procedure
(12) Input any 1080I signal.
(13)Press EXIT key 5 times to exit video mode.
(14) Select an input with 1080i signal.
(15)Access menu and select ASPECT 5 mode.
(16)Press the SERVICE SW. ONLY button to enter to
DCU crosshatch signal.
(17)Repeat steps 2~11 above.
Notes: (1) Display only green for easier adjustment and
match to jig screen. Press “MENU”, THEN
PRESS “STATUS”.
(2) Perform interpolation and data write to ROM
after green adjustment. Once green has been
confirmed to match jig screen, the jig screen can
be removed. Do not readjust the green color
after jig screen has been removed. This is now
your reference color.
(3) Display green and red only and match red to
green.
(4) Display all colors and match blue to green and
red. Touch-up red color if necessary.
(5) Existing DATA in ROM can be read by pressing
the SWAP button 2 times. This data can be used
after replacing a component (CRT, DY, etc.)
Where complete convergence adjustment is not
necessary, be careful not to overwrite this data.
DO NOT write cleared RAM data into ROM or a
complete convergence adjustment will be
necessary. Remember to try MAGIC FOCUS
before starting convergence adjustment to
minimize adjustment time.
