Question about Insignia D400a PC Desktop
I have recently purchased a new modem it is a d-link dcm-202 model. It has either usb or ethernet connection. When I hook up directly to ethernet port on my computer the display lights on modem never come up for ethernet connection. When I try to open the internet it will not start. I did diagnostic connection test and it says there is no connection to check my ethernet cables. I am currently using a d-link 524 router along with this modem. Can you give me tips on what to do. Is it possible that there is something wrong with my computers ethernet or nic card. I recently took it to Best buy and they checked everything on computer they said that nothing is wrong with it. Please help
Do this go to start >> then run , type >> inetwiz << then tell it to connect using my local area network , tell it to automatically discovery of proxy , then click next, no to setup email address, "you can do later if want to" then click finish and reboot computer
then try opening internet explorer , make sure if you have a firewall "you have to allow access to internet when asked "
