SOURCE: Black spot on lower part of screen.

Sounds like the LCD is damaged, it's commonly called a bruise. It can only happen when too much force is applied to the screen causing irreparable damage to the LCD crystals, causing them appear darker than the rest.

There is a picture here on the second post down.

SOURCE: Black spot on picture

My Nikon was having the same problem with the stationary black spot. I used a can of Dust Off ( the original compressed gas duster). I just removed the lens and held the camera upside down (lens facing the floor) and blew my compressed air inside and my black spot disappeared. Just a thought you might like to know !! Good luck.

SOURCE: Sony DSC-T1 screen is black. Does not recognize

There may be the issue with the CCD (Image Sensor Device) of the Camera. This is a known issue with this Camera.

Refer this article to confirm this:

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/news-item.pl?mdl=DSCT1&news_id=161

Check whether the LCD screen of the Camera looks similar as given on the page.

If yes, click on the "Yes" button at the end of the page to create an online Repair Request for sending the Camera to the Sony Factory Service Center.

SOURCE: round black spot in middle of the picture/screen

Hi :-)

The round blotch your seeing on the screen is the melting of an acrylic lens inside the light engine. Its a design flaw which unfortunately Infocus will not stand behind. To fix this problem requires opening the light engine and putting an equivalent lens in place. This task is very involved, but this problem is repairable and you need a glass smith to cut the right size lens from the original.

Dell w4201c no picture just bright colored spots

Was this set moved or transported? Is it possible someone struck the screen even if mildly?

If you can take a few good pictures and post them somewhere on the internet and provide the location--seeing what it looks like might tell what is wrong.

A classic description: set comes on but is a black swirling cloud where images can be dimly seen but are not clear--gets a little better after a few minutes but never gets normal.

Small dark spot on right side of screen/lens, also showing up in photos.

Not a good sign I'm afraid to say. If the 'dark spot' is coming through into the pictures that means some pixels are not sensing light. They will look square shaped if you expand the picture on your PC.
If the lCD was faulty (or had some dead spots) this would show when focussing and taking pictures, but, would not show in the final picture.
I'm assuming you have cleaned the lens (just in case) there is a 'dirt' spot that a finger could have put there. (clean with damp soft tissue )
There is a Panasonic help site which I checked but most reported problems were USB connections and battery life etc .. Try it and ask anyway - can always ask -- Ray

My lc320em9 has black marks in 2 spots that look like they are in the screen, if your switching channels they show up when there is no picture really well, but they also show up in the picture

Its a dead spot

You would have to get a new lcd to fix,, thats to much $..

Sometims you can fix by pushing on that spot then turn tv on, but if you dont do it right it will make it wores.

Polaroid camera 1739 has black spots on picture

you should be able to clean the exterior of the lens with a clean microfiber cloth or lens cleaning papers (available at even wal-mart). If the spots are in the inside of the lens body, you have to send this in to be cleaned as the camera will have to be disassembled to do it right.

Black spot on pictures, and lcd viewing

Hey cj17,
Since this spot is both on your lcd and your pictures the lcd is most likely not to blame. This spot is probably caused either by dirt on the lens or the sensor, or it could be caused by a dead pixels on the sensor. You can try cleaning the lens, and if this doesn't work you should have it looked at by an authorized service technician.

Sincerely,
Allan

Philips 50p8342

Try this procedure:

Adjust the green & blue CRT screens to match the red. Go into your picture menu adjust, turn color all the way down to a black & white picture. Now adjust each CRT screen so that you end up with a true black & white picture. Then adjust each focus control to get a sharp picture, and adjust each CRT focus one at a time for clarity by covering the other two up. Then go back into picture adjust and turn color half way up, you should see a better picture.

If you cannot get the blue & green to even out to a black & white screen you have other problems such as faulty CRT card on back of tube or it could even be that the video IC is faulty. If this is the case, then you may have to get a competent local technician to check the TV and get the necessary parts replaced.

Hope that helps...Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.

P.S. Before you assign a rating, please make sure that the issue is resolved or you are satisfied. If not, please post back as to what you did, and/or any other questions you may have, and I will try to assist you as best I can. Screen spot

Since you have a black spot, you need to look at the mirror or inside screen. If it were a certain color, like purple or yellow, for instance, I would suggest a lens or picture tube, but, since it is black in one spot, I would suspect debris in those areas.
