To remove the lever handle from a Glacier Bay two-handle kitchen sink faucet: Insert a 2.5mm hex wrench into the small hole underneath the lever. Work the wrench into the small handle set screw.Turn the wrench and setscrew counterclockwise to loosen. Pull the Glacier Bay lever handle off the faucet stem.P.S. You do not need to remove the screw to take the handle off.
Screw off end at gooseneck (aerator). Inside aerator are two pieces. 1st= flow restrictor, 2nd= strainer. Remove the O ring too free up the two piece. Remove the first piece (that's the one you will be looking at the screwed off end) the other piece form the water to flow in a straight stream.
You did not post the model number. Glacier Bay is a discount line that is made in the Asia area. There is a valve that shifts when the spray handle is activated, it could have machining issues, there could also be built in restrictor in the aerator, check for a tab like insert that is a different color. You may also consult with Home Depot as this a brand they sell.
If there is a way to remove the end of the sprayer, take it off and inspect for a loose piece of debris. They have a small port where the water flows and it may be clogged.
If this abnormal for this faucet...The valve seals may be damaged or have debris and not allowing proper flow, or the strainer on end of faucet could need cleaning. Make sure shutoff valves are fully opened.
If it is design problem/water saving issues, I have enlarged (drilled) the restriction hole in a shower head before with some success. That may be an option.

balance pressure faucets and tub sets were designed to keep you from getting scalded because someone else on your water system flushes a toilet or turns on water elsewhere. The technology has not yet been perfected and there are some less than desirable trade-offs.
your best bet is to replace the faucet with a less sophisticated type. Glacier Bay and American Standard make some fairly inexpensive units that have eye appeal and the simplicity you're looking for. Be sure to get that basin wrench to make the change out so much easier
Theres not much you can do to repair the stem except replacing the small O-ring up inside. You can call Glacier Bay and ask for a new stem ( the faucet has a limited lifetime warranty. You can also use Delta faucet repair parts in your Glacier Bay kitchen faucet; they come from the same mold. Heres a link to Glacier Bay 2 handle kitchen faucet repair. Heres one to the Glacier Bay faucet manual for your faucet.
The "gears" are simply to restrict the handle from turning to too hot a setting. Mostly if you install them lined up to the top you'll have maximum handle travel to the fully hot setting if that's what you want. Remove the shower head and see if the flow from the pipe is strong. If it is then the blockage is in the head itself. Check for buildup in the screen and clean it out. There is also most likely a flow restrictor in the head which can be pulled out with needle nose pliers. If the cold runs OK and it's just the hot that's slow you may need to clean the cartridge in whit vinegar to free up the pressure balancing slider.
