I have the same problem -- now it made a loud pop and just went completely black and only the sound will turn back on,... have you received any answers to this?

SOURCE: My "50" RCA Scenium won't

That's usually caused by a bad lamp. However that chassis is famous for having bad caps on the power board. The repair kit is available at the following link and has repair instructions included. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/product_info.php/pName/rca-atc336-dlp-power-board-repair-kit/cName/repair-kits
