Peg perego battery charger

A peg perego battery typically charges for 8-12 hours. Though in the short run it won't hurt to leave the battery plugged into the charger after the light on the charger turns green, it could wear out the battery if you do this continually. check your charger with a multimeter and make sure that its putting out at least 13.8 volts

first of all check for at least 12 volts from the battery and the charger, you can test this using a multimeter, if the battery doesn't show
any volts, lift up one side of the blue plastic housing on the top and verify that both the positive and negative wires are plugged in

check it with a multimeter and see if its putting out any voltage, specifically 7.2 volts, it could be just that the led is bad on the charger but its still charging

nope, it should turn amber when it is charging unless the amber led is not working, does it still charge the battery? and does the light turn green when its done charging?

Not necessarily. There should be some type of light on the charger- green means charged, red or orange, not charged.

If no light comes on, it's the charger.

The green light means it is ready to use. If the battery is bad though, the light will still be green. 

I would use the specific peg perego charger. I had a neighbor who used a different one and he ruined his battery.

Although what the previous post is correct, if the battery is new, and if you have the peg perego charger, you need to charge it 36 hrs the first time. After that, you can charge overnight. The peg perego charger has a small light on the front.When you plug the battery in the plugged up charger, it will show amber. When battery is charged it will show green. Don't leave it plugged up, after the first charge, longer than 24 hours.
