The fan motor is probably burned out. Pull the back panel off that houses the fan assembly (carefully as not to damage the evaporator) and replace it. This only applies if the compressor is running and the freezer is woking normally and there isn't excessive ice buildup on the evaporator binding the fan blades. If that were the case, you'd have a defrost cycle problem to correct. Anyways, the fan should run when the compressor is running. The only time it stops is when the unit enters it's timed defrost cycle which occurs about every 6 - 8 hours and lasts 20-40 minutes.

Sometimes when a refrigerator is closed up for a while the moisture collects on the fan motor. I recommend that you not run the refrigerator like this until you can remove the rear panel and try to get the fan spinning again . Try turning it and allow the rust to loosen up. This will get the fan going providing the fan has not burned out due to not spinning. Sometimes other things can cause this, but for now try this and if it works please rate me. Let me know if I can help you get your refrigerator going, that's what I am here for. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Why does compressor continue running, even with dehumidifier turned off?

Hello Bernard, thank you for your post!
I see that you are experiencing an issue with the Frigidaire dehumidifier, FAD704DWD, compressor consistently being on. This could be a possible issue with your control panel or sensor. Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would suggest contacting the manufacturer for further assistance. Hopefully this information is helpful to you. -Matt

GE GSS25JF side-by-side: freezer not working.

I would change the 12 year old with a new model. The new models are more economic and the thechnic uses for sure less energy and the space is more, then the pump and engine the isolation less to.

Sub Zero 700 suddenly stops after 12 years. Compresser is burning hot.

The compressor will normally be 100 to 110 degrees. I would suspect the thermostat or mouse damage in the freezer area. Also, if you keep it overstocked, to the point of poor air circulation, you could just have ice blockage. Put the frozen food in a styrofoam cooler or a good heavy corrugated box and give the unit a good full defrosting.

Dehumidifier runs but doesn't produce water

Your dehumidifier has a circulating fan that draws the room air over the coils. If there's no air movement out the front or back of the unit, the fan motor may be burned out or stuck, or the fan blade may be broken. If so, you need to replace the fan motor or the fan blade.

Compressor & Evap. Fan both work for 12 hours then evap stops

I believe that because defrost is done by the mother control board this is why this is happening the part of the board that controls defrost is malfunctioning and the only way to resolve the problem is to replace the mother board part number WR55X10656 You can find the replacement board at these places below. Refrigerator stopped cooling

The most common problems for refers not cooling is a condenser fan motor (the one that cools the compressor) is out. This can be caused by either a mouse has tried to jump trough the fan and it came on or a loss of grease or oil. There is no way to oil them so they have to be replaced. That is the problem especially if you unplugged the refer and it worked for a while then quit. If the fan doesn't cool the compressor it will overheat and shut down coming on intermittently then shutting off again. As for the refer that still doesn't cool when everything else does you may have an burnt overload also. Check the compressor area for burnt or stalled components ex. fan motor, relay, overload. If your compressor is out plan on spending from $300.00 to $500.00. But check the suggested components first. And beware there are appliance shops out there that will find one of these problems and give you an estimate for a compressor. Find someone reputable.
