The flame from the burner stays very small, will not give full power, any ideas on what the problem is?

Disconnect tank, hook back up, open slowly everytime you use grill. If this doesn't solve problem, valve on tank is probably stuck and tank will need to be replaced.

A burner knob somehow melted off and now when I try to light the grill it barely keeps a low flame. Is it a regulator problem? I have a Thermos gas grill with three burners-about 3 years old.

You may have a blockage in the tubes connected to your gas valve. It could be a spider web.
The burners may not be connected to the valve properly.
It could be an overfilled propane tank, and the overfill protection kicked in.
It could be a bad regulator.

Thermos Gas Grill

This is caused by a bad regulator. This is the silver device that usually attaches directly to your tank. Most hardware stores carry these regulators you will need the numbers off it to match up a new regulator for size.
