Setup was done by a computer engineer because we had problems. He set up the router via ethernet cable (one desktop and laptop). Seemed to work for a few minutes but the desktop although is connected we can not open a web page i.e. yahoo or firefox (server could not be found). If we try to sign in for messages in yahoo it says server not found. The laptop is working fine no problems. Can you help please?

Either your web-browser has "cached" the web-page previously delivered by the TILGIN,
or your computer is still connected to the TILGIN.

In the former case, "reload" the web-page.
In the latter case, turn off the TILGIN router, and try again to connect to the ZYXEL router.
Also, check that your network-cables are correctly connected to one of the LAN ports on the ZYXEL router.

I can not configure it to my pc

The easiest way to configure a linksys router is to avoid the CD that comes with it and just directly connect your computer to the router via an ethernet cable. eliteandres.jpg
This is the back of your router.
Step one: press the little red button to the right of the yellow ports to reset all of the settings to defaut
Step two: connect one side of your ethernet cable to your computer and connect the other side of the ethernet cable to any of the four yellow ports in the back of the router
Step three: open up your internet web browser on your computer (IE: firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome)
Step four: in the address bar of the internet browser type in "" without quotations. This is the IP address of the router.
Step five: after you press enter to go to the IP address it will prompt you for a username and password. Leave the user name field blank and put in "admin" without quotations for the password and press okay.
Congratulations, you are now at the setup page for the router. Change any of the settings you would like and save the settings and your router will not be set up and ready to use!

My linksys w/2phone ports cannot hook up with the ethernet

Most Cable Internet Service Providers (ISPs) use Media Access Control (MAC) Address authentication to establish Internet connection for end-users. MAC address is a unique identifier assigned to the network adapter/s of the computer.
To set up your Linksys router to work with a Cable ISP, you have to enable the MAC Clone feature of the router. MAC Cloning is a procedure which enables a router to copy the MAC address of the computer registered with the ISP.
To set up a Linksys router with Cable connection, you need to perform four steps using the computer that's been registered with the ISP:
i. Verifying Internet Connection
ii. Connecting the Devices Together
iii. Checking the Router's LEDs
iv. Setting Up a Linksys Router for Cable Internet Connection

Verifying Internet Connection
Connect the computer to the Broadband modem using an Ethernet cable without the router installed. If you cannot get online, contact your ISP. If it's online, use the computer to set up the router.
NOTE: Some cable modems use the USB port. If the physical connection is via USB port, you may not be able to go online via Ethernet connection. Contact your ISP to have the Ethernet port of the modem configured.

kb17251-001_en.png NOTE: The image may vary depending on the computer and modem you're using.
Connecting the Devices Together
After confirming the Internet connection through the modem, connect the modem to the Internet port of the router; connect the computer to any of the four Ethernet ports at the back of the router. For instructions, click here.
Checking the Router's LEDs
After connecting the devices together, check the lights on the front panel of the router. Ensure that the Internet light, as well as numbered light corresponding to the Ethernet port where the computer is connected, is lit. For further instructions, click here.
Setting Up a Linksys Router for Cable Internet Connection

Step 1:
Access the router's web-based setup page. For instructions, click here.

NOTE: If you are using a Mac computer to access the router's web-based setup page, click here.

Step 2:
On the Setup tab, click the MAC Address Clone sub-tab.

Step 3:
Select Enabled then click Clone My PC's MAC.

Step 4:
Click Save Settings.

Step 5:
Click the Status tab.

Step 6:
Check the Internet IP Address. If the Internet IP Address has numbers, this means the router has been properly configured. You should now be able to access the Internet. If you're still unable to access the Internet, powercycle the modem, the router and then restart the computer.

NOTE: If the IP address is still, click IP Address Release then, click IP Address Renew. If this does not change the IP Address, powercycle the modem, the router and then restart the computer.

How do i connect my netgear rangemax wireless router

You should have a manual/setup guide.
BUT, the basics of setting a wireless router are.

Connect an ethernet cable from your MODEM to the WAN port on the rear of the ROUTER.
Connect an ethernet cable from one of the LAN ports (usually 4) to your computer.
You now log on to your router via your web browser, set your wireless security (using WPA2) choose your password.
Save and exit from the router setup, disconnect the ethernet cable from your computer to the router and try and connect wirelessly
Your support page is here, choose which version of the router you have and download your manual

Begin setup of your Linksys Wireless Router by first plugging in the power. Give it 10 seconds or so to initialize and then plug an ethernet cable into your wall jack and into the port on the back of the router marked Internet. Next get another ethernet cable and plug one end into your laptop and the other into one of the ports labeled 1-4 on the router. Your computer is now properly connected to the router to begin its setup and configuration.
