I was trying to update the firmware on my Olevia 226-T12, and I followed the instructions on the support page. The install seems to freeze after the step which describes the blue and red bars that appear at the bottom of the screen. I can still see the red bar, and the instructions say "Once the firmware loading is complete the TV will turn on..." but this never happens. I tried powering off and then on again, and the TV seems to be stuck on the white and blue screen with the Olevia logo. Any ideas what to do to fix this?
The only thing is to keep trying it but you might want to leave the television off over night and then try it the next day.. also try doing the firmware on a 1G or less thumb drive...if the television is still not grabbing the firmware then it sounds like the television will need to get service... this means the television's main-board will need to be flashed.
Since the Manuf. of Olevia is out of buss the only company at this time that has the tool and parts to repair the television will be the 3rd party repair center called Amergence Technology ( 866-965-3842)
