Question about Blanco ELAN II 1 Handle Pull-out Spray Biscuit Kitchen Faucet 157-075R-BT

1 Answer

Faucet is getting tougher to move in all

Handle is getting tougher to move on/off or sideways and is starting to make a noise when moving. Can I take it apart and clean it, and if so, how do I do this?

Thank you,

Alan

There is an allen key that holds the handle on this is located under the hot cold indicator.take the handle off ,unscrew the housing an pull the cartridge out,try to shake out what ever is in there, you may need to replace the cartridge, you can get this at any place that sells plumbing supplies.hope this helps.good luck with your project

How do I tighten the faucet handle. The handle is floppy and unless you put downward pressure on the handle when you turn it, it will continue to move from left to right

From what you have described it sounds like the stem in which the handle rests on is stripped and allowing to move from side to side.

Remove handle it has a set screw in the side of it and turn water off. Check the stem may be in need of replacing or the retaining nut that holds the stem down to counter top may be in need of tighting.

The faucet should have come with a rubber gasket which goes between the faucet body and the granite top. Make sure it's properly aligned and has not slipped out of place. Be carefull when tightening the faucet to the granite, since granite is easily cracked.

Water quits flowing

There is a little popper in the spout area. You need to remove the top handle and slide the spout off. The popper is in the main tube coming up. It.s a standard part at most big box hardware stores and it costs less than $10.

Single-handle Glacier Bay shower faucet, hot/cold reversed

Behind the handle check to see if it has a dail to take out and replace at a different postion this will change the hot and cold. It a anti scald protection device. Don't remove cartridge just adjust dail.

Mark where you start and take out and move a 1/8-1/4 turn at a time and replace til temp desired. It has teeth like a gear you move to adjust temp.

Delta swivel faucet won't swivel. I can barely get it to move left to right.

Take handle off it has set screw that holds it on top of faucet after handle is off it has a locking collar they may have it to tight you can get a little wrench from hardware store that turns it. most are plastic so be careful if you try to move it you may try a little at a time to see if it free's up.

Water in bathroom sink is hot, but not hot in shower. Have a Delta Victorian 1 handle temp. faucet in shower. It is turned all the way over as hot as it will go, and still not hot enough. Had new parts put...

Remove handle and it has a dail in faucet that can be removed and repostioned, just remember where you started. maybe take out and replace it a 1/4 turn counter clock wise that should open range of hot water.

put handle back on turn on and see what you have if not hot enough take back out and move it a lttle more and replace and try again.

main thing just remember starting point before you moved it.

Moen T910 Kingsley two handle, whirlpool tub faucet. The hot water handle only puts out lukewarm water. The water heater is turned up and all the other faucets in the house put out scalding hot water.

if you remove the hot water handle on the faucet you can adjust the stop. if it is a newer faucet it has a built in scold guard. the directions should tell you which direction to move the stop to get hotter water

When water is on, faucet slowly moves to the back of the sink, where it can possibly flood the counter. This is a brand new faucet.

Faucet Repair

A noisy washer-type faucet is usually caused by a loose seat washer. To stop the noise, first turn off the water and take the faucet apart as described previously. If the washer is loose, tighten it or replace it. After threading the stem back into the faucet body, try moving it up and down. If it moves, the stem is worn and the entire faucet must be replaced. Some faucets are noisy due to poor design and construction. The only way to solve this problem is to replace the faucet with a quality one.
