Samsung french door with dual ice maker. The top ice bucket was stuck, i can pull out ~ 1" but can not pull out any further. How to get the bucket out..???
Mine was stuck on the auger, the twist metal blade parts. Apparently if you line up the door and the bucket parts just wrong when you last REINSTALLED the bucket, the next time you go to REMOVE the bucket it will be jammed, resulting in the problem everyone seems to be asking about. I had to take off the top part of the actual ice maker, stick a crowbar down inside the bucket, and manual force the auger to turn and dislodge. The ice bucket immediately detached once I did. There were shreds of plastic from where the connected had been jammed against the sides of the compartment. I don't know if there is a way of dislodging without blemishing the plastic, but at least I'm just grateful I didn't break it entirely.
You have ice stuck inside where it has dispensed but it apparently did not drop all the way down to the container. Only thing you can do is shake it until everything drops, allowing the bin to be removed.
SOURCE: error code IF or 1F not making ice model #795,77562... Sears/LG
You posted under an incorrect model number, so can only give general info. IF is a code for ice room fan. It is a fan located in a plastic box in the upper left hand corner of the freezer. The IF code shows up if the control board does not get a feedback signal from the fan telling the control board that the fan is running. I'd check to see if there is some ice blocking the fan blade. If that is not the case, you will need a meter to do further diagnostics to find out if your problem is with the fan motor or the control board. (note: when you turn the icemaker off, the fan will no longer blow cold air into the ice room, and all the ice will melt. Also, when the icemaker bin is full, the same basic thing can happen. Steady use of ice or dumping the bin will prevent ice from melting in bin.) The fan runs on 12 to 16 volts DC (variable speed), and the feed back signal is about 4.5 volts DC.
SOURCE: Loose Door Handle
There is no adjustment for the door handles. The brackets are metal pressed and if they become loose, it is recommended that they be replaced.

Check my solution here. The noisy sound is the swing arm trying to knock out some stuck ice.

SOURCE: Ice maker "ticking" sound?
Mine started doing the same thing. The problem with mine was that the part that spins around to eject the ice is hung up... first, it was trapping an ice cube in it... I cleared the cube and it stopped making noise for a while, then a cube hung up again. Now I found that one of the 'teeth,' all the way to the right, was stuck under the housing... the part is bent, and needs to be replaced.
Check the part that spins to make sure nothing is stuck. Service is expected in home soon (I hope).

get a hairdryer to melt the cubes unless hot water can get poured in to mold to do the same
