Re: trying to locate battery

Here is one website that lists them: I'm sure there are many universal battery products websites you could find by searching the web.

I have a Vivitar camera that has not worked right since I received it as a gift. Now it will not work at all. When you turn it on it just turns itself on and off over and over until you take the batteries...

If your friend paid by credit card then it would be on his or her statement, and the store would also have a record of transaction. The only drawback is if he or she paid cash, but I would still press the store for action, you might just get somewhere. The camera is clearly a manufacture defect and I can not offer a solution, but the digital camera is bad enough you should try and get an exchange.

I'm unable to get the lens to go back into the

hi, Have you tried to replace with new battery your camera?I suggest use Kodak battery or check the specifiction from the battery cover and you will see the different kinds of battery you can be use to your camera.

if you already install with new battery and the lens still not moving,it means your lens was stuck up and its cause of impact or excessive force to the unit.

if your camera are still covered by warranty its better you bring to service center. but if not and you have knowledge repairing electronics. just check the lens unit and make it sure that the cable, gears are all ok and having good connection.

good luck and thank you my friend

Thank you for using
FixYa for your problem

Your camera is faulty. It should be taken to an authorized repair centre for a repair estimate. Very few digital cameras have any user-serviceable parts.
As it is still under guarantee, I would ask for a replacement as the unit has not worked from day 1

Friend passed away, i got the A310 and after refreshing the 2016 and both AA"s --"NOTHING"---DID THE A GO TOO??ACCEPTING THE FACT THE NEW OPERATOR DOESN'T HAVE A CLUE PASS THE OLD POLAROID 600-- START...

Things to check first are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Details on what needs to be checked may be seen here. It won't work for every case, but it's worth a try.

But if the camera is powering on, but giving you a black screen, this would be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.

Applicable cameras include:
