The Garmin Nuvi gps probably has halted to to either a software or hardware flaw. Sadly about the only way to bring it back may be to reset it to the factory defaults. Depending on your model, this might lose all your saved data.

When i turn the garmin on, it only says garmin on it and it won't go any further

Hello,

Try doing a soft reset on the nuvi. If there is a reset button on the bottom, press and hold it until the nuvi powers back on. If it does not have the reset button on the bottom, slide and hold the power switch to the left for at least 10 seconds.
You could also try running the Garmin WebUpdater.
Download and Install WebUpdater.

If the problem cannot be resolved, it may be necessary to return the unit to Garmin to claim for warranty.

My garmin turns on just fine but it won't allow me to push any buttons. How to I fix this?

There it should be a lock switch on top of the unit that prevents you from touching buttons by accident.

My streetpilot c330 won"t shut off.

IT'S CALLED A FROZEN SCREEN...

2 OPTIONS

ONE, RESET IT !!! (See resetting instructions below)

TWO, let the battery die out!

Waking up your c330...

If you left your Garmin c330 on running the battery will have 1% life left. If you turn c330 back on again, it will flash screen for 3 seconds then die, even charging it at this point will not wake it back up. TO BRING IT BACK TO LIFE... plug in the power home or car into Garmin c330. There is a tab in the front Garmin gray frame of your screen. You must take like your fingernails and under the logo "GARMIN" pull the whole gray plastic frame off. Underneath the plastic frame to the right hand side. There is a "RESET" button. Make sure power is plugged in while hitting reset. Your battery should come back to life. Cheers
