Re: Dishwasher pump keeps running
This is caused by a water leak into the base pan,it will trigger the anti flood and the machine will continously drain out even with the door open, you need to establish what is leaking,if you leave the appliance standing for a few days it will start again as the water will evaporate however if the fault returns you will definetly have aleak on the appliance which will require further investigation.
Had an issue over the weekend where pump ran continuously regardless of mode or cycle.
I first switched off the dishwasher at the mains, then I removed the metal gauze and filters covering the sump. Here I dried out the standing water using a rag until the area was bone dry. I then went a step further and removed the four star screws of the sump housing and noticed a disruption (food) near the impeller. I removed this and again removed any standing water with Kitchen towel. Then reassembled the sump housing and put back the filters etc.
Finally I moved the dishwasher out of its housing and tilted it a few times and then made sure the feet of the dishwasher were allinged so the dishwasher was sitting square.
The result was the dishwasher ran fine from start to finish completing a full cycle.
All of the above is essentially performing the appropriate steps to stop the dishwasher thinking there is water still sitting in it (anti flood switch being activated by standing water or a disruption of some kind)
Hope this helps. Always call an expert if you are not qualified / certified to perform the above.

If you take the kick plate off from below the door youshould be able to access the base to remove any excess water.Behind your kick board is a plate below the door. Remove theplate. With the power off push a rag into the base plate to soak up the water. Failing that pull out the dishwasher onto the floor and tilt the machine backto allow the water to run outSwitch the water and power back on and restart the programto test.If the appliance is less than 2 years old Neff/Bosch Groupguarantees it
check filter or drain hose it probably have a dirt, try to fill with water manually and turn on pump to dispossess water,if water not go out and pump work then you have dirt in hose or filter,if pump not work then pump is broken.
Our Neff Dishwasher S5456X0 the pump was running all the time and the solution 1 worked. We removed the front panel under the door and the the flood camber was full of water. Drained it out with a sponge and the dishwasher is fine. Thanks
First try disconnecting the unit, completely from any power, for an hour or more, look in any control doors or access points for a small battery mounted to a board or in a holder, if you find one, take it out also, noting the positive and negative orientation.
If that doesn't do it, there are reset buttons under the tops or lids of some NEFF models, if there is an obvious lid after trying the no power trick, take off the top and look for a stand alone reset button.
So you know how to get to the float mechanism. I also noticed that when i lifted the red anti flood pole the pump keeps going & also the float will not move because if you add water to the small chambe it runs away as it should do. The next thing i tried was to unplug the electronic float switch. I use alot of these devices in my line of work & sometimes they stick. By unpluging it & seemed to do the trick once reinserted the pump has stopped. To double check just lift the red pole & the pump will start again as if it has registered a flood alert. Problem solved & £300 better off. Note if it still runs after this, the switch could be at fault they cost pennies to replace. Good luck
Have you tried it on a different program? I have nearly always used the AUTO program - however i have used the 50 degree program 3 times now and it completes the (much longer) wash without sticking on one minute. Will try it on auto again to see what happens. I found it useful to turn the end-of-wash buzzer on (to loud) to remind me when (if) it completes the program.
not easy to fix - it has a leak. the tray at the base is full of water which ooperates a float which switches drain pump on. remove front panel at bottom front and mop out water or tilt backwards 45deg and water will run out. leak is usually main pump
