Question about Samsung LN-T4061F 40 in. LCD HDTV
Hi there, I have a 40" Samsung LCD Tv. I was watching the tv when the screen suddenly went black and it started clicking. I unplugged the power and when I turned the tv back on there was picture and sound but the picture was completely foggy white and you can barely see the picture. The sound works perfectly but I don't know what went inside of the tv to make it the the white that it is. Even when the screen should be black like when i change the source it is white. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

My TV (same model) had the same problem except the sound worked (no picture, but the back light works).
Samsung is replacing it with a new model due to a long delay getting a replacement panel.
The TV failed 2 days before the warranty expired.
The new TV has better specs & is now less then half the price of the original.
The repair guy said it's cheaper to replace LCD TVs now then to get them fixed - he said he wouldn't even call a shop unless it's under warranty because you'll just spend hundreds of dollars only to find out a better replacement is cheaper then repairing the old one.

Well I just joined in the world of broken Samsung's. Died Feb. 1st. I had three month additional warranty, but of course it died the day after. Same problem, no video, just audio.
However if you call 1-800-522-7341. This is the number for Executive Customer Relations. They extended my warranty and contacted the repair center for me. Probably won't be fixed by Superbowl Sunday though. I expressed my disbelief that after 15 months a 2400 set can die. I have to call back on Monday for additional help.

Hi. You can try to go into service mode and reset the LCDTV to Factory Default. This will clear out all buffer over run's and any software related issues. It may fix the problem or it may not. If this doesnt fix the problem than you need to have a qualified Technician to look at it. The problem is in the AV circuit board, a technician who is qualified to repair electronics at circuit board level should be able to repair this problem rather quickly and inexpensively. Most technicians who do not have the expertise in repairing cicuit boards to component level would rather replace the whole AV board than repair it and this will be rather expensive. So talk to the repair shop before you drop the TV off.
Be very careful when accessing service mode. I suggest to write down all information in all areas before proceeding to a factory reset. If you do not record all values correclty you run the chance of not being able to use the TV again. To go into Factory Service mode, use the original remote and in this sequence push POWER OFF-MUTE-1-8-2-Power ON, the set will turn on and enter service mode, if you hit all previous keys correctly. If it doesnt try again. When you are done hit POWER OFF and this will exit service mode and save the data.
