Hi I have not been able to purchase a repacement stopper for my Thermos flask. I live in far north Queensland. Please help me locate a new stopper. We live in the state of Washington, U.S. and I ordered the EA759CAN stopper from the Canadian Thermos Products Inc. in Toronto and it is identical replacement to #781 stopper without the spout. Feb. 8, 2010
1/16/12 - Go to widgetco.com like I just did. Order a rubber stopper size 10 and/or a cork stopper #26. That way you'll have a back up should you lose one or the other. You'd think the thermos people would offer this as a possible solution rather than simply telling people that the thermos is discontinued in hopes that you'll buy another.
Customer service IS everything and some companies like thermos just don't get it. Cost for 1 rubber and 2 cork stoppers including shipping was around $11. Cheaper than a new thermos and adding to the landfill. Good luck.
Thanks Rick, this was super helpful. I picked up a Thermos in a thrift store complete for $6 save for the stopper. After scouring the internet, your's was the only viable solution.

DARLENE; Check with any local hardware store and or thermos on line and they can tell you were to buy one. Just a thought I have my thermos from 1968 when I joined the operating enginers, it has been to AK.7 times and up and down the west coast on jobs and it still works perfect. GOOD LUCK..... GREASY

Thermos in Canada is sold out of the EA750CAN replacement stopper for the 781 model stopper. They only had about 20 left in stock earlier this year and this part is now officially discontinued as the supply has been exhausted. I just talked to them today, December 14, 2010.
My thermos is now officially retired after 21 years. So long, ol' buddy! Only artifact that has traveled the world with me. Like my old party cooler (1987 model), I am truly saddened to have to pass an item like this on to the dumpster for lack of spare parts.
Bummer that the new stuff made in china will only last 5 years at best. What a drag!
