Question about Antec PP-303XP 300WATTS ATX12V ATX POWER SUPPLY (P4 OK) (pp303x) 300-Watt Power Supply

1 Answer

Pwr supply not getting power to the mobo.

Came home from weekend vacation and multiple components not working. unplugging/replugging Wii fixed it, dvr's, tv's ect plugged in the same place as the Wii were fine. Router, printer, modem, monitor were plugged into the same surge protector as the desktop pc and were on. Router needed hard re-boot before it would fetch an IP from the modem. Power supply in desktop pc is blown or not working, the always on (when there's power) LED on the mobo is off. Do power supplies have fuses or is it trash? Thanks in advance for an advice.

No fuse, but they are relatively inexpensive, about $30.00. You can have yours load tested by a reliable local tech to confirm it has given up the ghost...and they'll probably be happy to supply a new one as well...
Here's a startup troubleshooter that has more info if you're interested in self-testing...

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

Just got home from vacation and hit the on button and sony kdl52xbr9 is dead. no pix (not a flicker)or sound. Pwr/on light comes on along with sony backlight, where to start ?

Start by switching off the hard power button in back or unplugging the unit for about a minute, then replug or repower and try. This helps with a variety of power and tuner issues. Hope this helps some:)

Our Wii was plugged in last night, this morning there is no power, we have unplugged everything and replugged back in, still no power. What do I do?

Hi there,
How long did you unplug the Wii from the power supply? As to reset the power adapter it needs to be unplugged from the power for a full 2 minutes before plugging it back in and trying to power up the Wii. (This resets the circuit breaker in the Wii power supply)

Wii console went dead... is there a fuse to reset the thing?

Try unplugging all the cords from the wii unit, wait about a minute or so, then reconnect the cords and power up. This should "reset" the system. A similar situation occurred with our system, and this was the solution we were told to try, and it worked. Good luck! :)

Storm last night, now Wii won't power up

Unplug everything! There is a "breaker" in the power supply and it may need to be reset. Just unplug all cables from the TV and outlets. Let it sit for a couple hours then plug everything back in and it should work fine. If not then the power supply has shorted out due to a strong power surge. You can claim it under your home owners insurance or call Nintendo and try to get it replaced. Thanks! Good luck and happy gaming!!
