It should then be a 12 volt supply neccesary not higher but 4 amps is not sufficient in any case, choose somewhere between 6 and 8 amp so that the power supply is not become to hot.
That depends on the make and model. With some cameras you can recharge the battery by plugging the camera into a power outlet or USB port. With other cameras you recharge the battery by removing the battery from the camera and putting it into a separate charger. The camera manual will explain the proper procedure for your camera.

For some models it work. I`m not sure 100% it will work for your model to , but is worth to try.
Make sure your camera is not plugged in. Download the "setup.exe" here and install. http://www.mediafire.com/file/3mno3zdeuun/Setup.EXE Once it's installed, plug in your camera, power it on and Windows should see it and set it up for you.
Strainght to the answer. It is fried! You may send it to Sanyo for possible less repair charge with a factory refurbished one ( call before sending it in) or need to purchase newer model. -James
I experienced the same thing. The compact power adapter is simply the power cord used also to recharge the camcorder. Plug it into the wall at the same time as you have the USB plugged into the computer and it should be able to download.
Problem seems in power supply section at VC-516 (main board). If you know how to open and repair it, just check Fuses at VC-516 board and these are located near connector coming from battery / dc-in jack area. One fuse is open in this case.
This incident happens often and damages the camcorder's power board. Replacing power board and some adjustment should resolved the problem. Your cost may run from $175-$225 in US for this model. Whenever you are transfering and connecting to pc, it is recommended to connect AC adapter power for this. Do not rely on a charged battery. Good luck.
