I have a Canon S9000 and when this happened to me it was because the magenta or photo magenta cartridge leaked and spread. I had just refilled the cartridge and the plug didn't have a tight enough seal.
I took out the cartridges and used a Q-tip, OK, a TON of Q-tips, with the cleaner fluid from the refill kit on them and cleaned out the bottom of the holders where each cartridge fits.
I also had to do this to the ink ports of the cartridges themselves because they were tainted as well. I ran the head cleaning program a couple of times and once it was as good as it was going to get, I repeated the cleaning of the holders again, bought all new cartridges and ran the head cleaning program again until the problem was gone.

My HP Photosmart c7280 will not print pink or magenta. How can I fix this issue?

Sounds very much like you have a clogged printer head you should run the deep clean procedure form the printer dialog. If that does not fix the issue you may need to replace the print head.

My canon MX 410 is printing blue as pink

the fast and sure way is to reinstall both the program and the printer drivers. when uninstalling, make sure to delete user settings as well if the uninstaller ask for it. next, reboot your computer and reinstall drivers and software.
if the problem's still there, you can try replacing the cartridge again. if it's still not better after a few full page color prints, the printer is broken.

Prints very lite even after new color and black cartridge ?

Hi Good day.. Maybe your printer head was not properly clean my solution for you is to clean it by using the head clean in the printer properties... please do the following:
1. 1. Click the Start button at the lower left corner of your screen.
2. Click on Control Panel. Next, choose Printers and Other Hardware, and then View Installed Printers or Fax Printers.
3. When the Printer page opens, right click on your printer's name, and choose Printing Preferences.
4. The Printing Preferences has five tabs across the top; choose Maintenance.
5. Click the Head cleaning, and then click clean again. to start the cleaning.

When the cleaning is done you can print a test page. and see if your print page is fine..
if it's not, you must clean it again... hope my solution will help you..

Regards
JR

My Epson CX4200 is printing pink pictures - help!

try printing the nozzle check page.. you will be able to see which color that is missing... it should have Yellow , Megenta, Cyan and Black... if any one of the color is missing.. try performing head cleaning and after twice cleaning and still no improvement, very high possibility your print head is clogged..

Hi,
Pink color usually indicates, color cartridge bad,
Try cleaning nozzles, head cleaner, alignment, calibration
Print off a test page,
If still bad, New cartridge, it's a bad one.

Hope this helps

Printing not complete

you may check your ink cartridge
1) the cartridge some color almost empty, need to change a new one or refill the match color ink. test it and go next if not fixed
2) long time less using cause some color ink chanel(holes) dryer, you may take out the color ink cartridge and put it's surface of bottom (just touch ) in the clean water 1 Hr, then set back and test it. still not fixed, you also need to do same thing if your print head is separated from your ink cartridge

New cartridge won't print

  1. Make sure you removed the tape from the ink cartridge.
  2. Press the <Menu> button on the printers operation panel.

  3. Press the left [<] or right [>] arrow buttons to select [MAINTENANCE].

  4. Press the <Set> button.

  5. Press [<] or [>] to select the cleaning setting you want. Select [HEAD CLEANING] for normal print head cleaning. Select [HEAD REFRESHING] for deep print head cleaning.

Note: [HEAD REFRESHING] uses more ink than [HEAD CLEANING], so perform [HEAD REFRESHING] only when necessary.

  6. Press <Set>.

  7. Print a Nozzle Check Pattern and perform at least two Head Refreshing if the pattern is not correct.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

H/P C6180 black not printing

Had the same problem for weeks. Had to go thru all three levels of print head cleaning in the HP Toolbox menu to get black to work again. The head cleaning option on the printer itself was insufficient. Unless you've already gone thru all three cleaning levels this may be worth a try.

I walked thru the steps via the HP website FAQs for the 6180. Basically: Open the HP Solution Center, select Settings->Print Settings->Printer Toolbox, then click Clean the Printheads. After the first cleaning you'll be asked if the test page printed OK (mine didn't), click the Intermediate Cleaning box. You'll be asked again if the test page printed OK (mine did, but an independent MSWord print test was still streaky), click the clean again (sorry, don't remember what this one was called) for the third and deepest clean.

This last one worked for me, now it's back to normal printing. From what the HP website says I'm guessing that my black print head was dried up. That's a reasonable explanation for my situation, we had let the black sit dormant for a couple of weeks after the black cartridge ran out before we tried to install a replacement.

Hope this helps, sure was frustrating for me. Good luck.
