Whirlpool ACQ128XRO air conditioner kept tripping

I can just about guarantee it is a bad capacitor. I always remove the cover and look on top the compressor for a burnt wire. their is always that possibility. If that is ok I take a look at the capacitor. If it is swollen leaky or shorted then that is the problem. Read (MORE)

When it was running (working), did you hear the unit thermostat click on and off; was cold air comming out at all? Check capacitor may be faulty causing the unit overload and trip the breakers. Check the electronic control board might also be bad since the unit is not working. Bad motor can also trip the breakers before it burn out. Fan motor 60 bucks, capacitor 54 bucks and control boad 105 bucks. hope that help some.
