I need to recover old files from e-mail trash that are no longer available in the e-mail trash. All that is currently available is recent trash. I have a Dell PC with an Intel pentium 4 CPU at 2.8 GH, 2GB of Ram and 440 available GBs of hardrive space. It is an SX 280 Optiplex desktop
This may still be possible but I need a few details.
Who is your e-mail provider? Or simply provide me the words after the @ symbol in your e-mail address if you're unsure.
How do you access your e-mail? Do you open a program such as Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express, or do you open your Internet browser and go to the website to check your e-mail (such as hotmail.com or gmail.com)? Please let me know which program so I can assist further.

Unfortunately, anything deleted from the system goes to Recycle Bin, and everything on the Recycle Bin can be "Restored". However, if you deleted it from Recycle Bin (Emptied Recycle Bin) those files can no longer be retrieved. It is like a permanent deletion of files.
1. If you simply put files in the Trash you can restore them by opening the Trash (left-click on the Trash icon) and drag the files from the Trash to your Desktop or other desired location.
2. "Time machine" is a built-in backup tool that works with your Mac and an external drive, As the problem you described, I read it. The files deleted in Trash bin could be a different problem which Time machine can't solve. you can read this article and learn more. I hope it will help.
3. If you don't have a Time Machine backup yet, then your best option would probably be uFlysoft Data Recovery for mac software

Unfortunately it is not possible to retrieve the deleted mails from trash. Yahoo doesn't provide any service to recover back the deleted mail from the trash. Generally if you delete the mails these will be sent to trash, It is possible to recover the mails in the trash but it is not possible to recover the mails deleted from trash.
When you delete messages in Yahoo! Mail, they go to your Trash
folder. If you delete a message by mistake, for a little while you'll
be able to find it in Trash and move it back to your Inbox or another
folder. Just remember that messages in your Trash folder can be deleted
at any time, without warning.
To permanently remove the contents of Trash yourself, just click Empty
next to Trash on the left side of the page. When messages are emptied
from the trash folder, they are permanently deleted from the Yahoo!
Mail server and cannot be recovered.
