Question about Samsung ML-2510 Laser Printer
Print quality poor especially on graphics.
intial toner cartridge was excellent.
when that ran out, installed a do it yourself toner replacement.
worked wonderfully for about 1500 pages, now quality is really low.
streaks on the page and graphcis printing very poor.
refilled the toner a second time. No improvement in print quality.
it is readable, but not of good enough quality to send letter to client.
As i mentioned - toner replacement kit included replacement fuse which was also replaced. BTW - there was no fuse in the initial cartidge, but a space there for one.
This is the original cartridge which was loaded with 1000 pages capacity (the replacement cartidge has 3000 pages capacity.)
I have removed the cartridge and moved it from side to side to redistibute the toner. Still no joy.
The samsung utilities dont seem to address rpint quality issues other than to replace the cartridge, which i know to be full.
Full isn't always the answer, in order to refill a cartridge properly you need to also replace the cleaning blade inside. The blade wears out and doesn't clean the drum properly and also lets toner leak all over. Your best bet is a new OEM cartridge, or put a new cleaning and Dr. blade in yours.
