Question about Mitsubishi VS-70707 70" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

I have a Mitsubishi WS-73513 With the green light flashing

I accidentally bumped the power cord while moving the television and now all I get is a green LED light flashing on the front. This happened once before and the TV eventually worked fine after awhile.

Any help you could offer would be great.

Once Ac power was momentarily interrupted, allowance was made for a very common problem to appear. You will to hire a
skilled, qualified Mits. tech who knows how to remove, repair &
replace the DM module. The fix requires r&r of four 1000mf 25v
capacitors,Use high-temp 105 degree only. To see pix's = ...........................T.

hold down 1st and third buttons from the right on the front of the tv for 5 seconds. The green led will blink then pause then blink again. Count the blinks . It will give a 2 digit error code . Let me know what code is.

TV WILL NOT COME ON. "Timer" light flashes green

Unfortunately I have some very bad news for you. This particular chassis is notorious for developing bad capacitors on the DM and power boards. At this time there are no spares. If you can handle a soldering iron and have lots of patience I have a tip at which explains the problem and where to get the parts.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating.

I have a WS-73513. The green LED on the front

ONLY 1 or 2 things can cause this problem----First thing to do is remove front speaker grill--it should pull out and is secured with plastic pegs--behind it you will find an inspection plate---Notice the one or two pairs of wires coming from the front keyboard2.gif of the set---remove the inspection plate and follow the wires to the right--you can unplug both plugs(most have two and they are marked with letters and different sizes so you cannot get them wrong)

The idea here is to remove the front keyboard2.gif with its reset button etc from the circuit---You will still be able to try to turn the set on with the remote---these sets have a Receiver(large metal box to the left as you look from the back) and if the power goes out the green light will blink for about 70 seconds and then go out---it is the Receiver booting up.

If disconnecting the keyboard2.gif allows the set to turn on--you have a bad reset switch and two choices---either operate the set only with the remote or to remove the front screen and get at the reset switch (it is tiny) and remove and/or replace it.

If disconnecting the keyboard does not restore the set to operation---the receiver is bad---there are 4 or more caps and some pico fuses that can fail in that unit---Mitsubishi no longer sells or repairs these--if it is bad and not the caps there is a company you can send the unit to and have it repaired--if you need to know their name let me know---you can call them and get a quote for repairing the receiver.

I have a Mitsubishi Ws-65511 65" and the green light on front panel blinks continuesly and the tv will not turn on with the power button or the reset button on the front panel. If we unplug the power cord...

The Bulb in the unit needs to be replaced. To confirm, look in the manual for the set and it will explain the flashing lights by the numer and duration of flashes. Hope this helps.

Mitsubishi hdtv1080 won't turn on. green timer light flashing

could be a lot of things really. when you replace the bulb, there is a switch that will prevent the tv from turning on if the cover isn't sitting correctly, by moving it that might have shifted so it would blink, but not turn on. if not, well get it serviced, sorry
