I broke the little latch that holds the display in place in the upper left hand corner. How can i find replacement parts it is just a small piece of black plastic that super glue will not bond too?

I went to the Jensen site. Their response was I would have to buy the whole face piece which was only 80 bucks after shipping. Broke out the dremel tool and manufactured one myself out of a piece of aluminum. Works fine. Thanks.

Accidently removed the tiny screws behind faceplate

It could just be a plastic clip that broke. Most of the car stereo's ive taken apart only have a thin ribbon of wires that run into the contacts that your face plate connects to.If you actually took screws out of the faceplate then id put them back in and put it back into your stereo and see if it illuminates properly,if it does not then id search on E-BAY or contact pioneer and buy a replacement but most the time it would be cheaper to just buy new stereo. You might want to be more specific with the area you took screws out of,the way im reading it sounds like you unscrewed the screws in the face dock, not the faceplate.Hope this helps.

The car radio on my 88 mercury sometimes surges to a very high volume

the oe radiop is not worth repairing. It would cost $200-300... or yu can go to walmart and buy a brand new cd player for around $100.,.,. wiring adapter $20.. so for $120ish you have a modern stwereo that plays cds, and sounds 1000% better than that stock piece of krapola.

Where do you send these to be fixed?

I would suggest any reputable audio store that does installations or any electronic repair shop. If I'm not mistaken, I think your XM2go is made by Pioneer. Therefore, I would suggest going to Pioneer's website and look for an authorized repair facility near your area. I hope this helps...good luck.
