Question about Nintendo DS Console

Nintendo ds upper screen has lines

I haven't used my nintendo DS in a while and only take it on long trips. Recently, I tried to play it and there are lines on my upper screen which distort it to the point where I cannot play the system anymore. Can you please offer advice? Is something loose within my upper screen? Is it as simple as just taking it apart and then putting it together? To my knowledge,I have not dropped the device.

Re: nintendo ds upper screen has lines

I see what the problem that your haveing is, their is a possible problem with the back of the DS where the bottom and top hinges together (that long clip) which joines the two screens. Inside that hinge is a cable that connects both screens togehter, their could be a possible problem with in that, to get that repaired you must take it to a qualified technician. Another possibility could be that their is something wrong with the batteries/chargeing unit since it isnt letting out enough electrical out put as its supposed to to power both screens. But what ever the case i suggest you take it to an electician, do not open it your self because this may cause further problems.

Hope this solves ur problem, if things are still messing up, just contact me again.

How to repair the upper screen to a nintendo ds. the screen itself is not cracked but is inside the screen

Is the top screen White or does it have little lines across when you play? If it's either one of these, then the only thing you can do is go to Nintendo Support and have them repair it, I would NOT recommend trying to fix it yourself. Link to Nintendo Support.
