How old is it? Is it still in warranty Guarantee? If it is, take it back to where you bought it from and they should repair it or replace it. Disconnect the grill from the electricity supply. Open it up and see if the switch is turning? If it is tighten up the locking nut. If not, the swich may be broken and you may have to buy a new one.

Rings make a clicking noise all the time they are ignited

Turn knob back from "lighting mode" back to normal flame level. If this is not the answer, there may be a control or wiring problem.
The clicking is the normal ignition spark system but usually only operates at the time of turn on until flame is on.

How to relight pilot on boiler

Every boiler will have manufacturer lighting instructions on the unit, so be sure to read it thoroughly and turn off the gas for 5 min to make sure there is no gas build-up around the boiler. Some have electronic ignition and some require a manual lighting of the pilot. If the control knob has only ON-OFF, it has electronic ignition. Simply turn off the power (at the electric switch on the boiler or at the breaker box) and then turn it back on and it will relight itself when heat is needed) If it has ON-OFF-PILOT, you will have to light it manually. You will have to turn the gas valve knob so the arrow is pointing at the word "pilot" and depress the knob, while lighting the pilot with a lighter or match. Continue to hold the knob down after the pilot is lit for about 30-45 seconds to allow the thermocouple to heat up. If you release the pilot knob and the pilot stays lit, you can turn the knob to the "ON" position and the burner will light. Please be careful. if you are not sure what you are doing, call a professional.

I have a Valor Eminence Gas Fire which does not ignite when i try to put it on. Pilot light seems to be going but no gas. Can anyone help? I habe dusted the interior as per instructions but to no succes....

Be sure that after lighting the Pilot, that you turn the gas control knob to ON. Just lighting the pilot will not turn the burners ON. Once the control knob is turned to ON, you can turn the burners ON.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

When I go to start my grill, I turn on the gas and then the knob on the right side to spark the gas for the fire. When I turn the knob it does not spark the gas. Hoe do I troubleshoot what is wrong....

It sounds like you have a rotary piezo igniter, which means you get one click, or spark, per rotation. If there is no click when you turn the knob, or the knob spins freely when you turn it, it has probably broken. If you pull the knob of, there should be two screws behind the knob that holds the igniter to the front panel. Hopefully you can remove the screws and reach behind the panel to remove the igniter. If this wont work, you have to remove the front panel. If the igniter is not broken, then check the wires and electrode for shorts.

It's possible. The parts store sells a small aerosol of deicer made for key holes. I would try this sparingly as there are electrical pieces in there. Good luck

The three burners on the top of the range will not light.

You either have an issue with gas flow from the control valves or with the piezoelectric gas igniters. Turn the knob to low and try lighting the burners by hand. If they work, then your problem is not gas flow but the ignition. Turn the knobs to light and see if each burner clicks and you see sparks at the igniters. If you are not seeing a spark, try cleaning up the igniter tips. If that doesn't do it, it is probably time to call the service technician (or the Hotpoint Customer Service hotline).
