I DIDN'T MEAN TO GET A MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION TO FIXYA...I ONLY NEEDED A QUESTION ANSWERED. THOUGHT IT WOULD BE 9.99 PER QUESTION. EITHER WAY, HOW DO I CANCEL IT AND I'M WILLING TO PAY 19.95 OR WHATEVER IT IS FOR THIS QUESTION. I JUST NOTICED YOUR REPLY: HOW CAN I LOOK AT PAGE 46 IF I LOST MY MANUAL?

  • gitano1 Jul 29, 2009

Thank you...that's the only question I had. Now I need to see if I can cancel my subscription. Didn't mean to get a subscription just the answer to this question. I sent billing an e-mail and hopefully I'll get a reply. If not, need to contact my bank. Thanks for your help. I'll be more then happy to pay the other fee for this question...let's see what kind of a reply I'll get from billing.

This is "Canon PowerShot A95" manual.
http://files.canon-europe.com/files/soft24138/manual/A95_CUG_EN.pdf

[Self-timer] : page 46
Press the Func button and select drive mode (Look into manual for images).

Select 10 / 2 for 10 seconds or 2 seconds delay respectively using the3 left and right button and press Func.

Shoot the image.
If 10 is selected the self timer LED blinks when the shutter button is pressed the self timer gives a sound signal and blinking gets a litter faster before the shutter activates.

If 2 is selected then the self timer LED blinks and shuuter activates immedaitely in 2 seconds.

Kindly comment.

Press cursor-down (marked with a one-handed clock) then select the self-timer. Start the self-timer by pressing the shutter release button as usual. For full details see the "Using the Self-Timer" section in the manual (beginning on page 60 in my copy). If you need a manual you may download a copy from here.

Self Timer Activation

The instruction manual is quite poor. Once you have decided which option you would like (2 or 10 seconds) you must go back to the main menu to select which drive mode you would like. Single is default. From single, you can select self-timer, which will activate it for your next shot. The drive mode will always reset back to single after every shot so you'll need to set this up for every self-timed shot.

Happy shooting!

Dimage Z3 self-timer

It is in the Drive mode, the options are single shot, continuous, bracket, and self timer. It is not very clear in the manual but it is on the 1st menu page, page 46. Navigate using the arrow button. The default is single shot. When you set the camera to self timer, after taking the shot, it will return to the previous mode, ie. single shot or continuous. If you always use the self timer, you can reprogram the flash mode button to set the drive mode without going to the menu, page 65 of the manual. If you do not have a manual, you can download here : http://ca.konicaminolta.com/support/manuals/digital_cameras/dimage-z/index.html
