Question about AEG U7101-4 Electric Double Oven

1 Answer

Main fan oven does not work, conventional main oven does work

I suspect the fan element has failed - is this separate from the top and bottom heating elements and behind the rear 'plate' surrounding the fan? And, if so, is it fixable without removing the oven? Can anyone point me to a guide that shows this type of thing for the U71014. Thanks

The element is where you said and yes it can be replaced without removing the oven. Remove the bacplate from inside the oven and you will see the element and fan. Remove the screws from the element and gently pull it forward then remove the 2 wires and keep hold whilst you fit the new element. Replace screws in the element refit the backplate job done.

Why does the fan mode on the bottom oven on my zanussi Zou575 not working?

Because in Main Oven Cavity (large) around the convection fan is very powerful ring heating element 2500W (not visible) who works in the Fan mode. Therefore, it is not necessary that all heaters work because it will overheat the oven.

Main oven not heating up , fan running ,temp light on but no heat

I suspect that the oven element has failed, to check this, remove cover at rear of oven compartment, there you will see the round oven element, it should feel hot after turning oven on to heat, if it is cold, replace it.

Hello The light, the grill, top cooling fan and main circulation fan all work but the oven doesn't heat up at all. So I assume it's the main element - but isn't there more than one main element...

Yes it does mean that there is a base element, but more likely to be fan element, possibly base element may require replacing as well.

Newworld dfeo 90 main fan oven not heating - fan works! - which part most likely faulty

If it is an electrically heated fan oven, then I would suspect the oven element has failed, this is at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover.
If it is heated by gas, then I do not have an answer for you,as I have no knowledge of gas ovens.
Hope this helps.

Hi.i have a hotpoint creda c362e cooker the rings work grill works but main oven and top oven elements dont come on even when lights come on when switched on fan works but no heat could you help me on this...

Hi.
Frpm the sympton's you list, I would say that the main oven element has failed, espsecially if the fan is working o/k.
The element is located at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover.
In addition to the grill elements in the top oven compartment, there is an additional base element which you can't see.
If you turn the top oven on, the base of the compartment should get hot, if it does not, then the base element has probably failed.
Hope this helps.

Fan in main oven boken

Sounds as if your oven heating element has failed. You need to fit a new one.

Usually you have to get the back off, disconnect the old element, remove the fixxing screws and element, fit new one, reconnect and it should be fixed. Don't forget to switch the power off before starting work.

It would appear that the main oven element is not working. I had a power cut whilst using the oven recently and have only just realised that the oven will not heat up. Everything else is working ok. If it...

If it is a fan forced oven, the element is round in shape and goes around the fan blade on the back wall of oven.
To replace: Turn off power!!
-Remove side racks from oven, then remove rear panel.
-You should now see fan blade and fan element.
-You need to remove oven from cavity, then remove rear outer panel.
-You can now access element- it will be held in place by 2 small nuts either side of element wiring connections. Disconnect element wires, unscrew nuts. Element is now removed!
Reverse procedure to reassemble and test. If oven is heating OK, also check main oven thermostat is regulating temperature (ie clicks on and off), as sometimes thermostat can fail if element has blown
