Question about Lands Phones

Random beeping on other end

When calling out, people on the other end of the line hear random beeping as though someone is pressing numbers, but I don't hear it on my end. It's very annoying and is a deal breaker if I can't solve this, as this is also a work phone.

What type of system is this? Also do you have office recording software which records the conversation. This will beep to allow the person to realize they are being recorded.

Possibly some type of temperature alarm either from your motherboard or perhaps your video card.

How do I program the calculator to read random numbers 1-50?

The post answer the question concerning how to generate random integers. The example given is for rolling a dice. I am inserting the modification that treats your case at the end.

The random number generator function is called Ran# and can be accessed in RUN mode by pressing:
[OPTN] [F6] [F3] (PROB) [F4] to access the (Ran#) function
In the paragraph above, the bold text in square brackets indicates keypresses, while the text in parentheses represents the menus that appear at the bottom of the calculator screen. This also assumes there are no menus on the bottom of the screen when you begin. If PROB is already on the screen, then the [F6] key is not necessary, just press [F3] then [F4] at this point.

The Ran# function generates a random decimal number between 0 and 1. If you need to generate a number with a higher range, then there may be extra steps involved. For example, to choose a random number between 0 and 100, you would enter:
Ran#×100 or Ran#(100)

ec9c0df.jpg
Let's say you want to simulate a dice roll, where you get an integer between 1 and 6. Your first step would be to do:
Ran#×6
This will give you a random decimal number between 0 and 6. But we need an integer, not a decimal. To make it an integer, you would change this to:
Int(Ran#×6)

Press [OPTN] [F6] [F4] (NUM) [F2] to access the (Int)

This now gives you an integer between 0 and 5. We just need to add 1 to the result.
Int(Ran#×6)+1
The result should be an integer between 1 and 6.

To generate random number between 1 and 50
Int(Ran#×50)+1

My accurian iPod Docking Alarm Clock beeps incessantly when I put my iPod on the dock. Is there any way to fix this?

The beeping is the clock telling you to progam it to find the clock page. With the iPod docked, hold the <snooze> down for a couple of seconds, it will double beep and the select prompt will move to some random page and then back to the inital menu. After the double beep, press the <snooze> which will roll the selct bar down to the "extras" menu item then select (press center circle) on the iPod twice which should be the clock. When you have got to the clock page, press and hold the <snooze> until it double beeps again.it the

If you do it right, whenever you dock your iPod, the alarm clock willl remember how to show the clock (different generations of iPods have the clock in different menu locations).

If you don't program just right, you may end up on some random page, but at least it clears up the anoying beep and it's a great charger, eh.?

Generate a random number

Press the math key. Arrow over to PRB (probability) Select #5 randInt. You will now be at the home screen. From here you have to let the calculators the set of numbers you want to use. For example if you want to use the numbers 1 thru 50 type in 1,50. You must separate the numbers with a comma. Then press enter as many time as you want to generate a random number. It is not necessary.to end the parentheses.

MagicJack, Regarding beeping (sounds like keypad touch) problem

If you notice, you will see random digits entering into your magic Jack's number dialing pad by itself.

I guess this is due for poor software writing on the part of magic Jack's driver in your PC that must be sharing (or leaks from) a memory region or register on your PC. It could also be due to using a poor choice of register address, DMA address, or Interrupt number in your PC by Magic Jack Driver. This problem seems to have been introduced by their new software update in late June 2009.

Magic Jack should solve this problem, but they have poor support. They may not even know about this and other problems with USB Port Letter Reservation. I am sick of watching their promotional video (the guy, his children and the two dogs!) on their site when I am searching for a tech support email or a phone number.

Other callers hear random beeping during call

Hello,

The beeping sounds is not the phone's fault I guess, I guess it is the SIM card's fault. Try changing your SIM card to a new one from your service provider. Also buy a new battery from Cell phone companies, please do not buy the Made in China batteries with names different than Motorola, just buy the ones with the Motorola sign.

Hope this helps!

Random beeps, oven almost starts itself

The touch pad may be defective. There is a membrane behind the buttons that will cause problems like that. The only cure is to replace the touch assy.
