Take a video and load it to your computer, you'll have sound forsure.
i'm not certain why BUT sound doesn't seem to work on them at all. you literally MUST wait until you have the video on a computer to hear the sound, but it does work.

Ummm. I don't get sound at all. Just a lot of fuzz. Look up 100 0014 on youtube scroll down until you see a greasy-haired boy talking. That's me. No sound at all.

Have no sound on my pc

If you are on a mac, press the button with the speaker on it. The button with no lines coming out of the speaker is instant mute. The one line is to turn the volume down one. The the lines is to turn the volume up one. If you are on a windows, click the icon at the bottom of your computer with the speaker. A pop up will appear with a volume slider. Slide up for higher volume, or down for lower. If you have a different kind of keyboard there may be volume controls on said keyboard. If you have external speakers, your are going to have to find instructions specific to that set of speakers. Hope this helped!

No sound my system

If there is no sound coming from your computer try these "simple" but common solutions first.

1. Make sure the power cord is plugged into an outlet and the speakers are turned on.
*Make sure your speakers are correctly connected to the computer.
*Make sure that the speaker cable is plugged into the speakers and the correct jack on the computer.
2. Make sure your computer has a sound card and that it is enabled and working properly:
To open Device Manger...
*Start
*Control Panel
*System and Maintenance
*Device Manager
*Expand the Sound, video and game controllers category.
If a sound card is listed, you have one installed.
*Check the status of the driver and update if necessary.
3. Make sure that the speaker volume is not muted or turned down too low.
To open Volume Control...
*Click the Start button ,
*Click Control Panel
*Click Hardware and Sound
*Under Audio Devices and Sound, click Adjust system volume.
*Under Main Volume, move the slider up or down to raise or lower the volume.
If you still have no sound after checking the solutions above, you more than likely have a bad sound card.

The left side sound is intermittent

Sounds like dirt in the volume control or a high resistance speaker wire.
Try switching the right and left speaker wires and see if the problem changes.

Alert sounds

The first thing thta comes to mind, have you turned on mute or lowered the volume? Double click the speaker icon on the bottom right corner of your screen and make sure that the mute box is not checked off, and that the volume is turned up all the way.
Also have you ever updated the drivers for your sound card? If not than follow these easy instructions to update the sound card drivers.
  1. Click 'start'
  2. right click 'my computer'
  3. click 'manage'
  4. on the left side click 'device manager'
  5. on the right side click the + sign beside 'sound, video and game controlers'
  6. than right click each line that has the words 'sound or audio' in it, and click 'update driver'
Any problems let me know. Tell me how you made out, and please rate my answer.

the DVDS151 has its own built in volume control that is easy to hit the buttons near the bottom of the remote and accidently turn the volume down.
even tho your tv volume is set high it won't pass the sound to the tv if it is on mute or turned down.
