Question about Amazon Computers & Internet
We have had our equipment checked and noticed when the Dot looses WiFi our phones and other equipment is still connected. I think it the Dot. Please advise how we should proceed. Barrington H Holt
I don't think its the Amazon Dot, How close is your Dot with your router? Get a better Wifi Router. You can try to put the Dot in front of your wifi router and double check.

SOURCE: loose connection with router
There must be something that has been introduced to your area that is causing distortion in your WiFi signal. 802.11 or WiFi is very susceptible to noise or signal distortion and can come from many things from interfering objects to other wireless signals such as Wireless phones. There are also many other things that can cause signal distortion I would look to see if you have added anything new around the time the unit lost signal. If your unit is working properly when you are closer to the router than this has to be the problem. Range is a big iffy factor when messing with WiFi.

The only thing that you can do is to unplug the tv for 30 min, then plug it back in and see what happens. If it is still bad you will need to take it to a repair shop. The problem is most likly the Y or X sustain pcb's or the main power supply pcb.

It appears the hinge has come loose and possibly the video and/or inverter connection. Here as a disassembly guide for a different model, I'm sure how similar it is: http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba2435/sat2435_LCD.htm
Be sure to remove the battery and check the bottom of the laptop for any screws that may secure the cover.
