My needle still goes up and down when I put the machine in the bobbin wind position.

There are two possibilities here; 1 you may not have the bobbin all the way down on the holder, 2 you may not have really engaged the bobbin winder. I would take the bobbin off, return the machine to sewing position, turn it off. Then turn it on, replace bobbin in position and re-engage the winder firmly! Good luck.

Viking emerald 116 sewing machine will not feed fabric

Look at the feed dogs (the serrated metal strips on either side of the hole the needle goes down thru). If they aren't moving when you turn the handwheel or not protruding above the sewing surface (needle plate) then 1 of 2 things has likely occurred.
#1 - your machine is equipped with at feed-dog drop selector (drops the dogs down for free-motion sewing) that you have activated (intentionally or not) or
#2 - you have enough lint debris accumlated under the sewing surface to stop the dogs from coming up properly or move all together.
Have the machine professionally serviced. A good servicing will resolve 60% of the problems that sewing machines incur. You should have the machine serviced at least every 100 hrs of sewing, more often if you use cheap thead, cheap fabric or metallic threads. All of these leave a lot of debris inside the machine.

What to do when you are embrodering but you stop it and the stich goes back to 0

You don't indicate the model of the machine. Check the User Manual for how to advance the stitch count to 7450. If you don't have the User Manual you can download one free from the Viking Website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us
Click on Machine Updates at bottom of page
Click on All Machines and Select your machine model
The next page will give you a picture of the machine and have a link to Download the User Manual

Huskylock viking serger machine is very noisy / squealling; oiled / cleaned machine, changed needles... It gets quieter if I sew fast.

some machine make more noise than others, but to be on the safe side I suggest having the machine check to see if there is something else wrong, it could be something is loose or worn in the machine.

Needle stop up/down no longer works on Viking 118

sometimes the bobbin winder gets left closed, and that will make the machine run slowly and with no up/down button.

Machine locking up after first stitch

Well I'm assuming this is not a 905 Serger. Here are some tips for bobbin problems on a Viking sewing machine:

Check that it is threaded correctly (both top and bottom) making sure that the upper thread is in the takeup lever. Watch the needle as you slowly turn the handwheel counter clockwise (toward you) and the needle point touches the fabric (make sure presser foot is down). Is the thread still relatively taunt? If it is loose, the upper thread tension unit does not have enough tension. Check the areas where the thread goes and make sure you remove any loose threads or fluff which could be inhibiting the tension discs from closing over the thread. If the tension unit still is not tightening enough, the tension unit may need to be replaced or the circuit board replaced. If everything is ok in the upper thread area, now look at the bobbin area. With no fabric, watch as the needle enters the bobbin area. Does it go down and the upper thread catch the bobbin thread and pulls it to the surface? Check for anything preventing the bobbin thread from being pulled up to the surface through the needle plate. If you have still not been able to resolve the problem suggest you take it to an authorized husqvarna viking dealer for service. You can locate a dealer near you by visiting the husqvarna viking website and clicking on the Dealer link on the left-hand side of the page - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com

Good luck.

Needle position won't lock in

Sounds like the needle bar alignment is broken. When you turn on the machine, does the needle move from left to right and then goes to center? This is called calibrating to center. I suspect it doesn't. Best recommendation is to take to local authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer for service or have them send to Husqvarna Viking (SVP) Service Technical Department for repair. A list of authorized Husqvarna Viking dealers can be found at the Husqvarna Viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us

Good luck.

Can't get machine to pull up bobbin thread

This is a hook/needle timing issue. It will need to be adjusted by an authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer or they can send to Husqvarna Viking (SVP) Technical Service Dept in Tennessee for them to do the repair. A list of authorized dealers is available at the Husqvarna Viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us

Good luck.
