SOURCE: Low 'fps' rate ,when the game runs.....
hey, I have a crappy acer laptop and can play tactical games pretty well but some FMV's have slowed it down increadibly.
I strongly suggest you get the pcsx2 0.9.6 version, check all the speed hacks (see if that doesn't crash your game) you also have the option of using VUSKIP your screen will blink sometimes depending on how much you got going on the screen at once, but you can adjust it using F4 BTW normal limited(i never use) skip and vuskip. I use normal on some FMVs but game play i'll use VU most of the time because my laptop is slow.
Also you can play without sound and check the sound hacks, small speed up.
While PCSX2's new version is much faster, it still slows down quite often and is a huge system resource drainer.
my settings for VUskip 160 custom 70 skip below 3consective render 15 frames skipped. lol
You have a Graphics Adapter integrated into the Motherboard it's not upgradable Disabling unnecessary processes will help quite a bit. Adding more RAM is a option, depending on your OS, 32 or 64bit? 32bit will use 3.80GB's or so, 64bit 4GB's or more. your specs say you have Windows 7 64bit with 2GB's of memory, is that correct? If so add up to 4GB's of Memory Max, SEE: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&docname=c01966130 In the BIOS you MAY be able to adjust/increase more Shared Video memory? The game usually has a Optimal Setting for your machine. Have you done ALL your Updates for Windows and HP? ALSO I use RAZER GAME BOOSTER freeware on my lower spec machines to disable ALL unnecessary processes, you configure what you want to disable during game play: http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html Give it a try , it's safe, free and works for me.
