Question about Heating & Cooling
Is it plugged into a working outlet? Plug a lamp or other electrical device in to confirm that the power is on. If not on check the fuse or circuit breaker in the power panel and replace/reset if required. If using an extension cord make sure it is a grounded heavy duty one designed specifically for use with air conditioners. Set the temperature knob for maximum cooling. Once the unit starts you can adjust the knob for the desired level. Make sure the fan or speed knob is set to ON or High. If it uses pushbutton controls press each of the buttons all the way in pressing the ON or COOL button last. Dose the fan run alone if set to FAN or Exhaust setting? If it does but the compressor will not start for cooling, then there is a problem with the compressor that a service technician will have to evaluate. If none of the above works, please leave a comment with more specific information. Thanks,
